I'm using them along with the alarm panel I purchased. I'll be able to sleep better at night knowing that if the water gets too high in the bilges the float switch will cause the alarm to sound off.

Spring was too rigid to allow float movement to turn on and off pump. Edit: After I cycled it many times and it seems to be working fine now.

Never mind the jive. These lift switches work fine and they don't draw electric until the water goes up. I wired mine without any extra panels switches or wiring.

Very heavy duty switch as far as I can tell. They have a definite "click" when transitioning on/off or off/on. No mistaking where the setpoints are. I do wish the setpoints were adjustable at least a little bit. My pump is recessed a little, so it could pump more water out if I could adjust the off setpoint. Other than that (which is not a flaw...just a feature), they seem to work very well.

It is kind of big so it doesn't fit well in busy tight spaces and takes about 2 inches of water to float it.
