I installed an nvme and SSD in my late 2015 imac & when I put the screen back on the old adhesive was not really sticking anymore.I came on Amazon and bought some cheaper strips and they were awful! Spent like $6 for something that almost certainly would've caused my screen to break. Then I bought these, and they are way better.The material is stronger & the adhesive is better, and now the screen is really stuck on. If you upgraded your iMac and want to reduce the risk of damaging this gorgeous display, spend the extra couple of dollars on these higher quality strips! A+

Whenever I use this product, or any comparable product, I leave the iMac laying flat and level on its back for at least 24 hours to allow the adhesive to fully bond to the screen and computer case. In my experience the weight of the screen is sufficient pressure for good bonding of these adhesive strips.

I got these pre-made adhesive tape strips for replacing my 27" iMac screen. I am IT Engineer by profession and have repaired countless computers and other devices...needless to say, I meticulously followed the directions and ensure that these strips were properly installed. I use tape to hold the screen in-place for 48hr to ensure a good, solid cure.It didn't matter. A few months later, the strips completely let go of the screen when my 4yo tilted the monitor gently for a better viewing angle. I was in the room and watched him tip the screen...it wasn't violent or over the top in any way. The screen fell out of the iMac and landed on him. By the grace of God he wasn't harmed and equally-miraculously, the screen didn't break and the ribbon cables were not damaged. I was able to re-install the screen and from now on, we'll be trusting clear packing tape around the perimeter, not these adhesive strips.Be warned...if you know how heavy one of these glass displays is and how sharp the edges can be, you know what kind of damage could be done by its falling out on you. And that's not even considering shattered glass. Wow...

These adhesives are definitely ones to get, I have bought other ones that were simply tape cut out, but these ones have foam like the original glue does. The ifixit instructions work with this. For my iMac I had to cut some of the adhesives, so it wasn't exactly fit, but all the tape lined up pretty well. I highly recommend these and specifically took time out of my day to write about how good these are. Best value for money.

Replaced the SSD on my iMac and needed a cost effective adhesive replacement. This one seems to be the best out there for the 27" 5K iMacs.
