These fit my Whirlpool microwave. I bought some from a box store that were too big to fit in the small opening for the light. These fit perfectly and they are brighter than the original ones.

Our bulb kept blowing from being hot and the door shutting and jolting the springsThis was a direct fit and we have not had the same problem.

They work and are dimmable (working at the two different brightness settings on my microwave) but are not significantly brighter than the OEM 40W incandescent bulbs. A fine replacement, but not a substantial upgrade if your aim was more brightness over your stove.
