AutoON/AutoOFF PIR Occupancy Sensor (ManualON/AutoOFF selectable) lighting control, Vandal resistant, Manual Wall Switch. Robust Single Latching 10A Relay, No-Neutral wire required, 120/208/220/230/240/277VAC, 50/60hz, Field of View 2100 sq ft (Motion: Major 60'x40'; Minor 40'x20'), Dual Pyrometers for true 180 degree view with Blinders (32 degree block on each side), Adjustable time delay between 30s-30m, Light Sensor (Photocell) included for Ambient Light Hold-Off feature. CEC Title 20/24 Compliant, UL Listed, RoHS Compliant, Ivory The ODS10 uses passive infrared (PIR) detection technology to monitor a room for occupancy through a segmented Fresnel lens. This specialized lens divides the field-of-view into sensor zones. When a person passes into or out of a sensor zone, the sensor detects motion and switches the lights ON. The lights will remain ON as long as there is an occupant moving through the sensor zones.

Easy to install and adjust after I read and understood the instructions. It took about 20 minutes. It works as advertised.

If you have a 3 way system in place beware that you are not going to be able to use this with the standard setup, I completely eliminated one of the switches, but it wasn't needed anyway due to the motion sensing capabilities and perfect location of the main switch. I could re do the wiring and make it work if I bought another motion light like this but it would not really be worth it to me. Once you get the wiring figured out its installs and gets set up in 5 minutes. Just do your research and know the exact type of wiring you are installing into. Great product.

Have bought several of these over the years for different places in our home, including two for the garage which are wired so that either will turn on lights if it senses occupancy. One of these "failed" recently after some electrical work (done by others). Figuring which of the two was a little tricky but finally I realized that the lights were coming on when near one but not when one was near the other. Make a long story short, the ground for the "failed" switch had apparently been disturbed, possibly by workmen doing other electrical work. Now that the ground connection is solid again, the switch works fine - beginning its ninth year.

Inside my home, I installed 2 of these sensors and they work well with LED fixtures and fluorescent bulbs.I then installed one of these occupancy sensors and replaced 2 of the 3 incandescent bulbs with fluorescent bulbs in the garage. During the summer, the sensor worked fine. Sometime in late fall/early winter when the temperature dipped into the 40's, the sensor stopped automatically turning on the lights. I can turn on the lights manually, and the sensors would detect motion and keep the lights on. I can leave the the garage, the sensor/lights would shut off. I was hoping that once the temperatures reached the 50's again that the sensor would return to normal operation. The temperatures did go into the 50's briefly, but so far the sensor is malfunctioning and the temperatures are currently in the 20's.

This was the second switch installed for this application, i.e., on off control for our garage florescent lights. Although the installation instructions were followed exactly, the first switch came on turning on the lights, but after a minute or two blinked, turned off and never worked again. We shipped the defective one back and reluctantly accepted a second in its place. So far this was a great decision. The second switch works as advertised including the 30 second setting and the range adjustments that so many prior reviews cited as nonfunctional or altogether dysfunctional. We would recommend this product as long as the key components are manufactured in the USA, as is the case with our switch. It was 'assembled' in Mexico, the parts are American made. We do not trust electronics made in China because of poor quality experiences in the past,e.g., early failure, substandard performance, etc. We know it is increasingly difficult to avoid Chinese made electronic goods, but when possible we recommend USA manufactured products only.

I installed this automatic switch in a 40-person meeting room where the manual switch was very awkward to reach from either door. It has performed well for a year now, and prevents tripping up steps, and over folding chairs, and fumbling for the switch while carrying a load. The switch responds quickly to a wide angle of motion (nearly 180 deg.) and at least 30 feet away. I estimate that we've recouped the cost in energy savings by now. The only catch is that when the room is intended to remain dark (like for a candlelight dinner) the lens has to be covered; but just a little piece of paper taped over it works fine. I plan to buy more wherever there are several lights to control and a tendency to leave them on.

Labeled an occupancy sensor, I use it to turn on the lights when I enter the room and off a couple of minutes after I exit. Prior to purchasing this product I tried all kinds of other products which did not work well with flourencent lights. I ran into all kinds of issues, with magnetic ballasts, electronic ballasts etc. Like everyone knows what they are. Anyway, this product does not care, it turns on and off perfectly. You hear a relay click each time, but that is just fine with me.
