I am a serious enthusiast of acoustic guitars both playing and collecting. I take lessons weekly and love taking my best "girls" into the store to show off, play, and learn (coincidentally, I purchased more than a few guitars here). All my guitars have hard cases for storage and for travel. I get a little lazy sometimes and like using a gig bag, a nice, structured bag with lots of padding. I had one that came with one of my less expensive parlor guitars and have been searching for another for my full-size guitars.I settled on two models: The hard-to-find Taylor gig-bag and the Levy's Deluxe for Dreadnought Guitars. Using my wife's GS mini gig-bag as reference (as well as pictures from Amazon) and found the Levy's to be comparable to the Taylor structured gig bag.It arrived just about an hour before this review!The Levy's has a plush interior compared to the Taylor's nylon taffeta; both are great, but my personal preference is the plush like what's found in my hard cases.Both the cases have double exterior pockets, heavy duty two-way zippers, high density waterproof Cordura exterior, and a structured padded architecture that promises excellent protection in a lightweight package. Levy's is famous for their leather guitar straps and you can see the quality appointments in the leather trim around the handle, straps, and badging. A great alternative to the hard case for daily carry to and from my lessons and performances. The Taylor case is great, but I have both Martin and Taylor guitars and by principle alone I have a hard time putting a Martin guitar in a case that says Taylor. It also was a little more expensive. This case fits my Taylor 414Ce, Taylor 352ce, Martin 000-28 Modern Deluxe, Martin D-18 Modern Deluxe, and Martin 000-16 SR12 Custom Shop.

I purchased this gig bag for a Sire GB5 4 string bass and the fit is so perfect you'd think it was made specifically for this instrument. The quality is first rate, excellent fit / finish, zippers are strong and work effortlessly. The neck support can be moved a little bit to accommodate different basses or removed entirely if you wish. There is extra internal reinforcement where the bottom strap button comes into contact with the case. The external pockets are more than adequate for cables, straps and small accessories.One other feature is the superb support from Levy's Leathers: I sent them an email asking a few questions and I received a full reply answering all of them in less than an hour!

This is a perfect fit for my GUILD 260CE. The attention to detail and quality stands out. It is the perfect combination of a gig bag and a hard case.. Very light weight. Great handles and shoulder strap too. Add to this all, it is beautiful.

I spent hours searching for a decent case for my inexpensive Ibanez GA35TCE slimline nylon "classical" guitar. I wanted a soft case, but not something that shipped folded up, and I wanted a nice plush interior. This (classical size option) case works great, the guitar is a good fit without too much empty space. It's made in China, not Canada as the product details current state, here (so, minus one star for that - Amazon should have fixed this a long time ago). Regardless, it is well designed and seems to be well made.

I purchased the Levy's gig bag for about 9 months ago for handling my Guild D260CE and I have not been disappointed. After comparing many different bags and having tried one out from a different maker, I chose the Levy's because of the thickness of the padding and the neck strap support. I continue to be impressed with the convenience and protection it provides my dreadnought acoustic guitar. It is well built, the zippers operate smoothly, and there is enough space for a large music book, strap and accessories. I have seen some gig bags sag when stood upright while empty, but the Levy's stands firm and stable. Highly recommended!!

Very well made case, looks awesome, sturdy materials, great padding on the inside. Personally, I'd rather have the shoulder straps detachable, but they are permanently sewn in. But it's a small con.

Best guitar case I ever own! When my car broke down, I had to take the bus, and I tote with this guitar case, on my back, it was very easy to travel with except for be careful that you don’t swing it in anyone’s direction just give yourself a little room for that. However, It was worth every penny, no bang, no necks and was able to carry my books and other belongings as well. It did a good job protecting my guitar. I highly recommend this guitar case for travel and protecting your guitar.

Was looking for a gig bag to hold my guitar. Fit nicely and has good padding all around to give me comfort in bringing it around locally. Like the front pockets as well. Plenty of room for my leather strap as well as ipad, spare strings and other things. Its great quality and well worth the money in my opinion.

I wanted to replace my classical guitar gig bag as mine was too flimsy when opened, had no neck support and was not well padded. I’m glad I found this Levi bag. It has all those features and more. It fells like luxury and exudes professionalism inside and out. Colour is nice too.

I suppose for a run of the mill gig bag, it's not bad. I had a stronger affinity for the company before it was bought by a US company. However, that is not why I returned the bag. I was carrying a $3500 Telecaster in it, and it just didn't seem like the bag offered enough protection. I discovered "Reunion Blues" gig bags, which are much more substantial cases, and one worthy of a $3500 guitar. However, it is also more that twice the cost of the Levy bag. Y(ou get what you pay for, sometimes.
