this defrost fan fit my whirlpooll/kenmore fridge! great price and similar to original....my old one making cat noises this was fairly easy to install the wire lead location on motor must match old one and the fan blade cannot be pushed too far back to motor or it will hit motor. works well! super quiet ! all good.

The fan motor and assembly was a perfect match but it required a bit of disassembly and reassembly to realign the motor. The packaging was extremely damaged and it was evident the shaft of the motor had penetrated the box throwing it out of alignment. The outer bag was torn in multiple places from the metal components and the interior box was almost non existent. The motor shaft would not spin until it was realigned. Once installed it worked like a champ and super quiet.

The wire connections are not all on one side as pictured. Also, the part came bent in three places but the box had no damage. Obviously a returned part that hadn't been inspected before reselling.

It fit my refrigerator perfectly just be sure to put fan blades in the exact place as the old motor shaft.

I put this in my Whirlpool refrigerator from 1994 and it was... plug in and go!Will this motor last another 30 years??? I tend to doubt it, but I am pleased with it working now.The original fan motor was making a bit of noise, occasionally. I removed it and drilled holes in the wick pots and then replenished the electric motor oil in the reservoirs. Even though I felt no discernable looseness in the bearings and the motor spun freely, my lubrication did not fix 30 years of neglect. A day later the old motor started to make, on and off noise.I hope this new motor gives a few years of service.

This item replaced the original perfectly. I have some concerns about its longevity. Definitely not as robust as the original. Only time will tell. For the price, definitely got me out of a pickle.
