Ok so when i first unpackaged this and saw the directions I was a little concerned. The directions wanted me to apply adhesive strips to my monitor screen which I was not about to do. I felt this would overtime ruin my actual screen instead of protecting it. I then saw there was an alternative method. You can install it by using hang tabs. So this works pretty much like hanging a frameless mirror does. You apply two hang tabs on the frame of your screen at the bottom and two on the sides. These basically overlap the screen and allow the protector to just slide on. Not only does this keep sticky stuff off your actual screen but it allows you to remove the protector whenever you want. So if you need to clean it or even want to switch between the matte and glossy side which is awesome, or maybe you just want to remove it for a while. This is something that you just can't do with protectors that actually stick on to the screen and let me tell you it's awesome to have the freedom to change it as your needs or conditions in your room change.I do a lot of online streaming so I wasn't looking for the security aspect of this protector however it does work but only side to side about 30 degrees out. But it doesn't work for above or below if that makes sense. If you stand up you can still see your screen for example as long as you are in front of it. I wanted it mainly to reduce glare and cut down on blue light which it does an amazing job at and also just to protect my screen from scratches etc.Now for the fit. I actually have an Aopen 23.8" monitor but I ordered the 24" protector and it fits, it's actually a little small maybe up to a total of 3/16" all around but i just center it so it's not a big deal.Overall if your looking to cut down glare or blue light or keep someone off to the side from seeing your screen this works well. But the best part again is that I can switch from glossy, to matte, or not use it at all easily with the hang tabs.

The screen protector is packaged in a cardboard sleeve inside is another sleeve of plastic. All stickers and tabs are included along with a lint free cloth and instructions. The protector itself has only 1 film covering one side but not the other. A small half moon cutout is located on one edge to denote which side is anti glare and the other shiny.I used the protector on my treadmill to reduce the dramatic glare. There is no protector for my specific treadmill so I searched for one that was as close as possible for the width that would cover the video display. This leaves a gap on the top and bottom of the display but that is what it is.As I needed to align vertically, I measured several times to place blue painters tape. After the tape was aligned, I removed the film from the protector. I chose the sticker application as the tabs would not work in my situation. Warning the stickers are VERY difficult to remove the white sticker film and the actual clear adhesive. Once I removed each of the small stickers and applied them to the corners, I did the same for the 4 longer sides. I worked to apply the protector from the left to the right ensuring the top and bottom adhesive attached before completing the right. Unfortunately, the left long adhesive did not stick so it fell off. All of the other adhesive points were successful. I did not unstick to apply that missing adhesive. I rubbed the protector over the adhesive with a credit card to ensure they stuck. The anti glare works very well. Alas, there is ghosting of the video elements. It is a bit bothersome but the anti glare is needed much more than removal of the protector due to ghosting. A screen that adheres completely to the screen would likely not have the same amount of ghosting. I will likely replace it with that type protector in the future.Pros:* anti glare helps tremendously* reasonably thick material* all parts included* no defectsCons:* ghosting* stickers adhesive should be easier to remove from the plastic sheet* once stickers are placed, fixing mistakes is not as easy as it could be* extra stickers for mistakes should be includedI would not buy this again due to the ghosting. The other cons are not as problematic.

first one of these I've gotten that actually fit my Spectre 24 inche LCD monitor. They said it would fit and it fits! Works like a champ and you have to be straight in front of the monitor to see what's on it. I teach high school and with the nosiness of todays kids always wanted to snoop the gradebook I have to have privacy filters on. Easy to install with the little sticky tabs and it fits absolutely perfectly. Has my seal of approval that is for sure.

So right off the bat, my initial impression was not good based on the packaging. This is an OPTICAL FILTER that came sealed in a cardboard envelope. So far, pretty standard. But there was no fiber zip on that envelope, and the envelope was glued shut with some sort of space-age permanent bond. This left one of two options for even opening the package - a knife, at risk of slicing or gouging the filter, or tearing it like a gorilla and hoping not to damage the filter that way.Once out of the package, as described, it's basically a polarized distortion filter that fits over the screen, attaches with tape, and passes light in the direct line-of-sight, while fading off to the sides. The manufacturer claims full blockage by 30 degrees, but objective testing found that the screen could still be read, although not easily at 30 degrees, and that full blockage occurred at 45 degrees on one side and 50 degrees on the other. Still good enough, but falling shy of advertised claims and packaging that's not conducive to not damaging the product made me knock it down a few stars.
