Blue Light Explained
Macular Degeneration Blue light (HEV) penetrates all the way to your retina and has been shown that too much exposure to blue light can damage light sensitive cells in the retina. This causes changes that are similar to those of macular degeneration, which can lead to permanent vision loss. Many eye care professionals have concerns that the blue light exposure from digital screens might increase a person's risk of macular degeneration later in life.
Digital Eye Fatigue Short wavelength, high energy blue light scatters more easily than other visible light and makes it not as easily focused. When you're looking at your digital screen that emit significant amounts of blue light, this unfocused visual light reduces contrast and can contribute to digital eye strain.
Sleep Disruption Blue light is very important in regulating circadian rhythm - your body's natural wakefulness and sleep cycle. Exposure to blue light during daytime hours helps maintain a healthful circadian rhythm. But too much blue light late at night can disrupt this cycle, causing sleepless nights and daytime fatigue. People who use their electronic devices before bed have a harder time falling and staying asleep.
Why Not Block All Blue Light?
It's well documented that some blue light exposure is essential for good health. Research has shown that high-energy visible light boosts alertness, helps memory and cognitive function and elevates mood.
In fact, something called light therapy is used to treat seasonal affective disorder (SAD) — a type of depression that's related to changes in seasons, with symptoms usually beginning in the fall and continuing through winter. The light sources for this therapy emit bright white light that contains a significant amount of HEV blue light rays.

this works pretty well to block glare, and it is easier on the eyes than the LED display my laptop has. it also doesn't make fingerprints as obvious as the bare screen does. i use the touchscreen on my laptop a lot so that's a big plus.it was a little difficult to install, though. the alcohol wipe and the microfiber cloth were really small, so my fingers would slip off the edge and leave fingerprints & i would have to go over it several times. screen protectors are always hard to install though so i can't blame this product too much.

Very happy with this product. My husband has a lot of online books for college and his eyes were hurting, so I found this anti blue light screen protector. We just put it on the screen and he instantly could feel relief on his eyes!!!

This was a good idea, but even following the instructions perfectly, it's impossible to get all of the air bubbles out from behind it. And that makes it very distracting when you are looking at screen. I put the first one on and spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to get the bubbles out, so pulled it off and tried again with the second one. Just threw them both in the trash. A sad waste of money.

Cleaned the screen, followed instructions. Still, air bubbles formed between protector andscreen, and I could not get rid of them. Must bubbles are notnoticeable whendoing ordinary reading/writing on computer, but are annoying if doing photo editing.There are always microscopic dust particles in the air so I don't believe it's possible to apply this film in a household environment.I do hope it eliminates blue light, but have no way to measure this.

I was experiencing a lot eyestrain from using my laptop with LED display. This blue light filter IMMEDIATELY helped mein a big way, and I am well aware that opthamologists say this blue light business is a lot of hooey. Don't care. Made a BIG difference for me. You might want to try this out before paying for glasses with blue light filters built in or even just a separate set of eyeglass lenses for computer work. FYI, the filter has a matte non-reflective surface. Also FYI, if you clean your screen with Windex before applying and take your time using the included "squeegee" tool or a credit card, you won't have bubbles. Any bubbles you might end up with are invisible when viewing the screen. The secret? Take your time... No, I didn't get this for free, it's not all that inexpensive, but it's well worth it to me.

This works great and easy on my eyes and I can tell th difference.Installing was a little difficult, I have corner of the screen that want stay down it bubbles up.

We installed these on three monitors and - by the third one - I had the technique figured out. Apply it very slowly, starting at one corner. As you go diagonally across the screen, smooth out bubbles. If there's a bubble, back up so you can get rid of it. This does take time, but it's the only way I found to have a nearly bubble-free result.Even on the monitors where we did end up with bubbles, our eyes noticed the results instantly, with a tremendous reduction in glare and reflections. I hadn't realized how strained my eyes used to feel.One of our monitors is slightly larger than the plastic sheet, so there is about a 1/4 inch gap on the sides and bottom. That does not seem to cause any problem.

I bough this package since I have 2 monitors and one is an inch small. I was hoping I could cut it down to size for the smaller monitor. Yes it was very easy with an x-acto knife, I do not recommend with scissors it did an awful job.I found that the small squeegee that came with the package was too small, so I used a "Bondo" scrapper it did a better job. Also I recommend that you keep the film #1 on and peel only what the "Bondo" will do so that less air bubble occur. I still got some air bubbles, but once the monitors are open it does not affect the viewing of the screen.Also what is stated as you can remove and restick, I did do this on my first monitor. It is call learn on your mistakes and it actually works. Just be careful to not put too often your finger marks on the stick side, it seem to affect a bit of the stickiness.Now the best part I tested them out for a full day and it was the first time my eyes were not burning and I did not need to put eye drops in my eyes and there was no pain behind my eyes because of constantly working in front of the screen. I wish I would have know about this a long time ago.

Anti blue screen protector works fine no irritation to eyes, I hv lost the quality of video display in my HP ENVY x360 after pasting the screen protector. Anti blue screen protector team can work on this to improve the quality.
