It comes complete with front driver head cover, back driver head cover, motor and drive head gear kit. The Solera Power Awning Plain Drive Head assembly features easy-access manual override: Should a power outage occur, the awning can be easily extended and retracted with a cordless power drill. The power awning drive head is universal for all Solera power awning assemblies including flat, pitched and short. Does not include, but should be used with, Solera Power Idler head, Roll bar, fabric and awning arm assemblies.

This part was very easy for me to install by myself. Works great. I did need to cut the wire ends from both motors to use the old/existing connectors with the new motor to make thing simpler for me. Otherwise a fairly straight forward swap.

The old BIG screw is worn-looking and a little corroded. The little screw that holds the shaft to the awning is a bit rusty and worn. It would have been nice to have these replaced as-well. Especially at this price-point.

You have to support the awning roller after disconnecting the old motor. It’s almost 10’ in the air, so you need a very tall step ladder or a long board Another person on a ladder could hold it up, but it takes at least 10-15 minutes to put in the new motor, so they would be stressing. Once you get in in place, the small set screw is also tricky to get in the right spot. The good news is the new motor is quieter and faster than the old one.

As soon as they receive the product I ohmed it and tested it and it would not work. I wanted to test and make sure it worked because I previously installed one that only lasted a month and a half so I wanted to test this one before I drive out to the customer to install it at the campsite

Perfect fit for my 2014 Grey Wolf 26dbhThe wire harness was different (the pigtail was a double dc style, still positive and negative.) I opted to transfer the motor off my broken head instead of splicing the wires. Could have gone either way but this way was quicker and cleaner. Motor transferred easily. Head installs with one screw!

This replacement unit is built much better/stronger than the one it replaced. New one has all-metal gears and no plastic parts except for the covers. The wiring connectors were a perfect match for what I had on the RV, so not reworking of the wiring was required.
