Had to replace original Little Giant sewage pit pump after 15 years of service in a basement 3 fixture bathroom. Original lasted quite a long time and I wanted to replace with the same brand. Great customer service from manufacturer when I had questions on which model to buy for the replacement. Pump is of high quality and it arrived quickly. It's working well after 6 months of usage.

FWIW, I just replaced a Little Giant 1/2 hp sewage pump that was installed in 2008 in my basement. I don't know the model, but mine was made from all cast iron, painted blue all over, had a piggyback float, and had the ring-style handle (which was quite rusted). While my basement bathroom did not get a lot of use in the early years, since 2018 there has been someone living down there off and on very consistently using a full bath. We do have a softener running into the pit which has produced a few dozen gallons of waste water each week consistently for the whole 16 years. I finally just replaced it out of concern for how long it has been down there but it was still operational. I see that most sewage pumps are expected to last 7 - 10 years.BTW, I also bought a silent check valve, and it is so much quieter (no banging).

It seems like someone else returned this product and they packed it again and reshipped it to me. I haven’t tested it yet but luckily it seems like It hasn’t seen water (I Think)
