Never used this type of connector but they are easy to use and worked well. They are fully filled with the dielectric grease which is what you want. Just have some paper towel handy. I purchased these for repairing my inflatable LEDs. I will update this review if anything changes.

These waterproof connectors are great for the thin wires in network and telephone cables. Thin wires are awkward to strip and solder and are easy to break. These gel-filled connectors are a quick and easy way to join wires without stripping them and the connection is insulated and weatherproof. These work very well for repairing or extending in-wall doorbell or HVAC Thermonstat wiring.

Keep your nuts in your bag, reach for these instead. I’ve used these for years, so much easier. Small wire stuff, garage doors, low volt security, data wires for intercoms.. I keep a box around just in case.

Fast install. Easy to use. Look better than wire nuts. Held up great so far. Fit perfectly for changing leds in my inflatables
