One of my hobbies is leatherworking, and I normally cut all my leather with a straight edge and a knife. When I saw that these scissors could cut leather, I thought they’d be useful for cutting curves in my leatherwork if needed. My first thought was that they’d only be able to cut thin, 1-3 oz leather. However, when I received them, I began to change my mind due to the thickness of the blades, which are about 3.18 mm along the spine.I practiced using the scissors on some leather from my scrap leather box. First, I cut some lighter-weight leathers without any issues at all. Then, I found a piece of 6 oz suede with a firm texture, and the scissors went through it easily as well. A little more pressure on the handles was required, but that’s to be expected compared to thinner leather. On all the leather I tested, the edges were cut smoothly and would only need beveling and burnishing to complete the edge.I have large to extra-large hands, and I could just barely fit four fingers into the bottom handle, but I’m used to using only three fingers in that handle anyway. The ergonomics of the handle feel good for my right-handed use. The cutting length of the scissors is about 4 1/4â€, and the overall length is 10 1/2â€.Overall, these are nice scissors. If they can cut through decently thick leather, I don’t think canvas, denim, or cloth should be an issue at all.

I am so happy to have gotten these Livingo Fabric scissors. I have had a dedicated good pair of fabric scissors since I bought my sewing machine in my sophomore year of high school to design and make my own clothes. Fabric scissors are NOT to be used on paper as it will dull them, and unfortunately my hubby knew where I kept them and grabbed them too often when he needed scissors and mine got so dull that wouldn't cut thread even! When I took these out of the package I went right to my sewing cabinet and got out a thick upholstery fabric scrap in with the scraps I use to test stitching tension and snipped right through it with a very CLEAN cut and little effort. I was thrilled to have them. And when cutting large pattern pieces the bent version is so hand-friendly (my former scissors were bent so what I am used to and knew I preferred) to be less fatiguing cutting over and over again. The generous finger grips are comfortable too. A big thumbs up from me.

I like having dedicated scissors just for fabric. These seem to be OK. They are sharp enough and cleanly cut the satin ribbon and a light weight cotton fabric. So, they will work for me. They are definitely not the quality of the vintage fabric scissors I own that I keep with my sewing supplies, but quality like that is impossible to find these days. And, for the price, these are a "use until they get dull" and then replace type of scissor. I have these on my packing table for my small business and they meet my needs to cut the ribbon and fabric I use for packing customer orders.

These are some massive, honkin' scissors. They make my adult hand look like a child's. They do an excellent job of cutting fabric though, and their large size only makes that job easier because it means less cuts. they can cut through multiple layers of fabric with ease and precision as well. I appreciated that the bolt looks like it can be screwed on tighter if it ever comes loose!

I was pleasantly surprised with this pair of scissors. They seem just as good as some of the higher priced scissors and the metal seems like a good quality and they cut well. The two scissor arms are sharp and they come together tightly without gaps.

Great sewing sheers able to cut denim jeans and other thicker fabrics quite well. Durable sheers that are assembled well. They come with a very sharp edge right out of the box so are ready to rock on day one. Usually I end up sharpening my knives and sheers when I buy them new but these didn't need any additional edge added to them. The are smooth to use and comfortable in your hand. Very good value IMO. Great for cutting larger fabrics and long lines.

My wife has had her old pair of fabric scissors for years, maybe even decades. It had served her well but eventually needed to get a replacement. This one has a nice long set of blades for performing longer cuts, and does feel very nice in the hand. Hopefully this one will last just as long as the previous one!

This seems to be a good quality scissors. I was able to cut one piece of tread on my first try, which always seems to be hard for scissors. The scissors itself is fairly big and very easy to get your hands into. The cutting is smooth and even all the way there isn’t any gaps in the blades. Overall, I am very happy with this scissors and it will go well in my sewing kit.
