This is a great little lock-out, tag-out kit. Has everything needed, except a sharpie pen, to lock out electrical panels while working. The carrying, storage case is a bonus.

Typically speaking most people wouldn't probably wouldn't have a need for something like this it is good insurance to have around the house. We recently were doing construction and we had an underground wire from our panel powering a shed. The shed had to be moved in advance of the project leaving the buried exposed for a period of time. The breaker clamps are flimsy and cheap feeling but just the simple action of having it on the breaker is enough reminder not to flip it. It's just one of those to me that having and preventing outweighs the risk of not and going oops..

What I receivedI received a sealed (I prefer sealed) rectangular kind of sturdy plain brown cardboard package, measuring about 7†x 4½" x 3¾" and weighing near one (1) pound and (12) ounces. [A sealed package gives me peace of mind that anything inside was clean and untampered with.]Describe the packageThe package was plain brown and had no name brand reference, nor any marketing or descriptive information on the exterior of the package, other than for a UPC sticker, which referenced its country of manufacture, which represents, to me [from the outside, this appears to be a generic item being sold, rather than a brand name, but on opening the box, it’s a different story].What’s inside the packageInside, as soon as I opened the package, were all items described in the listing in a sealed plastic bag, that had inside a beautiful red zippered pouch. (The zipper worked flawlessly.)1. Lockout Tagout Kit2. Quantity three (3) heavy duty safety padlocks;3. Quantity two (2) LOTO hasps;4. Quantity six (6) lockout tagout tags;5. Quantity ten (10) nylon cable ties;6. Quantity two (2) nylon hasps; and,7. The red bag, and it’s awesome, as is everything in the kit.PadlocksThe padlocks are keyed differently, to avoid mistakes and insure reliable lockout safety, there is an original and a spare. The body of each padlock is plastic. Each key and padlock have the same serial number. The keys are dimpled, characterized by asymmetrical or regular holes along the sides and/or the back of the blade. They are considered high security keys and are also called computerised ultra-keys. Each padlock weighs just over three (3) ounces. They measure about 3½ x ¾â€. The body of the padlock being 1¾†tall. The key must remain inside the padlock once it is opened and can only be removed on locking the padlock. The padlock does “not†pop open, when unlocked, so that fooled me a bit.All in all, it’s a great set. You get a good amount of items.The Right Tools Make a DifferenceHaving the right tools, such as all the items in this kit can make a positive difference and may even save a life.Giftable?Sure, for the business or person that needs to be that much safer and/or to comply with OSHA.Any criticismI really cannot think of any.ThoughtsIn my opinion, this is an excellent set.Country of originMade in China.I hope my thoughts added a wee bit of information.

I've become more aware of lockout/tagout having been exposed to it in commercial environment. I got this kit for personal use as there are times when I work on things where this could be a lifesaver or at least prevent shock and injury.The kit isn't really complete for what I realize I'd prefer - which would be to include circuit breaker locks for the 240V double-pole breakers used in just about every residential panel in the USA. It has 3 locks suitable for 120V single-pole breakers.Aside from that, this seems to be decent quality for my light-duty occasional use - and there's room in the bag to add more lockout accessories = 4*

Useful if you need a cheap solution. Also good if you want the lock to be torn off by hand.

This lockout tagout kit contains the most common locks including circuit breaker locks that fit residential systems. It includes 25 heavy duty, reusable tags when used erasable type markers. We did have to supplement this kit with two pole circuit breaker lock to make a comprehensive kit that meets all our needs.

Love this kit, the color screams "Warning" and is easy to see. This is a good basic kit and everything you really need to lockout a single room or storage. The locks looks to be sturdy and durable. Love that it came with a pouch to keep everything together. Safety is always a priority and i recommend this kit to anyone that needs to lock anything critical and dangerous.

I work in the electrical field, and locking out equipment is imperative.Although the employer is typically responsible for providing these. I prefer to always have my own on hand, just in case.This is a great set that includes everything you need (with the exception of a breaker lock) to ensure equipment stays de-energised while you are working on it!The case keeps it all together, and the locks are fairly substantial and individualized.
