Installation Guide:
Step 1: Draw a rectangle on the wall using the drywall mud ring as a template and cut out the rectangle with a drywall saw;
Step 2: Insert the low voltage bracket new construction into the rectangular hole and tighten the screws until the "wings" catch the back of the wall;
Step 3: Tip: Don't over-tighten the screws;
Step 4: Connect the new (or old) wires to the new outlet (or new switch);
Step 5: Then screw the outlet (or switch) to the single gang drywall bracket cut in box.

Good quality item, easy to secure into an existing opening. I like that the folding tabs screw holes for mounting instead of just bend tabs. In a commercial space you don't always have the most careful users and these tend to hold up better to abuse.

I wanted some brackets for adding wifi-enabled smart switches around the house, and this set seemed perfect for that purpose, a whole 15 of them in a box.I'm not an electrician, just dabbling in DIY projects, so it took a bit of time getting used to these brackets.Good value for the money, though these seemed flimsy at first glance.

Being in an area that has some pretty high standards for code, I had never ran across an item like this since I don't work in low voltage often. In my particular project, I was just running ethernet cables and wanted to give a nice polished look via a wall plate. That's where these came into play. The package comes with all the plates as well as screws. Both the plates and the screws are of reasonable sturdiness and I have no doubt that they will hold up to standard abuse. The lip on the inner cut out is also beveled so you don't have to worry about skinning you wire while pulling it through. With the price point being where it is and the amount of plates you get, I would say this is an absolute winner if you are in the market.The only trouble I had was that the plates were packed pretty tight in the box. Possibly too tight, as I had a come in one of the bags that were press together well enough that I had to use excessive force to get them apart, causing them to bend. The other thing to consider is that, there is a learning curve to getting them to sit properly (pinch the drywall?) to avoid buckling when tightening. This is however a quick study and you should be fine by the second or third.

These mounting brackets are a great solution for me to easily add new (low voltage only) electrical outlets. So much easier than having to install a new junction box, or work with an existing one. I'm no electrician, and I'm guessing that junction boxes are best practices, but using these alone is just easier. However, I did use what I consider to be best practices when securing/separating/insulating the wiring, since it will not be contained within a junction box. And be sure to note that they state clearly that these are intended for low voltage applications only, like LED lighting, which is my use case. With 15 to a package, I have more than enough to add several switches or outlets around the house, and still have many left over for future use. Good value for the money.

These do exactly what you need them to do. They hold a low voltage outlet cover in place.I wouldn't say that these are as straight forward as some others that I have used, but they are flexible and adjustable to a variety of situations.If you don't have the flap folded around the drywall just right, when you tighten the screw it will compress the top/bottom of the cover and make it bow out away from the wall. I had to work through some trial-and-error scenarios before I got the metal frame to lay flat and hold the outlet cover flat against the wall.The provided screws work OK. One of them screwed right into the hole on the receiving side. The other stripped the tip of the screw before if made its way through the metal flap. The kit came with many screws, and the next screw went through just fine.The screw holes that receive the outlet cover screws were too big for the RJ45 outlet covers (included screws) that I ordered from Amazon. I ended up using some alternate screws from a previous project, but none of the "normal" outlet cover screws that I had fit the holes. This is unfortunate.Overall, these work pretty good, with a few quirks that you have to work around, based on your installation situation. I will happily use this whole pack, but I will likely try one of the plastic versions next.

These brackets are as good as name brand ones I have been buying. The metal is the same thickness as the name brand. I have purchased cheap brackets that look like this before and they were thin metal (weak).The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the screws that come with it are small guage and very fine thread. The name brand has drywall screws which work very well.
