I've used single-, double- and triple-gang Arlington Low Voltage Brackets for two separate home theater installations. If one takes care to cut the holes in the drywall correctly, they do a great job of securing the wall plate and associated cabling. They are substantial enough and have enough structural strength to secure the cabling in the wall and also provide enough support for cabling from the jack to the speaker. I experienced no issues with installation, which is straightforward. Just keep in mind that this product is designed for "low voltage" and should not be used as a substitute for properly installed metal or plastic boxes for 120 or 240 volt installations. Though I have not used them as such, I presume they might work for certain applications of 12 volt low voltage lighting, however I'm a purist, so I'd probably choose grounded metal boxes for that as well. I suggest that you do some research before purchasing for that purpose.

I needed to add a more professional-looking wall panel for some CAT5 drops. Wires sticking out of walls were a real eye sore.In the past, I've added wall plates to wall cut-outs directly using dry wall anchors instead of the normal wall plate screws. While this works, it is tedious placing the holes level, if the anchors don't catch the wall as they should, or if the screws strip the anchors. A real pain.I saw these and decided to give them a try.I drew an outline using a pencil as described in the instructions. I then got a drywall saw and cut out the outline. I only needed to do a few extra minor cuts to the drywall hole to get the bracket to fit. Once it fit in, I just had to tighten the two included screws and the built-in vices clamp on to the opposite side of the wall.Wow! Snug and perfect! Much easier. All I needed to do was attach my new wall plate using its original screws. Perfect and professional-looking!I highly recommend this to any installers or do-it-yourselfer's. Say no to wires sticking out of walls!

Used several of these for my basement remodel. These work great for low voltage wiring like speakers, home theater cables, etc. Not supposed to use the for electrical cable.Simple to install. Just cut a hole equal to the inside flange (don't cut too big) so that is slip right into the wall. My wall was 1/2" sheetrock, so it fit perfectly. When tightening the screws, the tabs flip around and compresses the outer flange securing the bracket to the wall.Recommended to a friend who bought these too. He also gave highest marks!

We used this with to hide the cords from our 42" TV. It worked well. Easy to install, although it would have been nice to have a hole-cutting guide sent with it. Just cut smaller than you think you'll need at first with following the directions, and you can then shave a little extra off the drywall as needed. This is a big base, and will hold tons of cords. But hides well. And it did not damage any of the cords we pulled through. Very nice!

hello, this product was to be used with the datacom low voltage plate for our wall inset. but, the contractor said this was not necessary as he used a blue box from his kit and the datacom plate fit perfectly on the wall. but, he mentioned that since this arlington bracket does the same job, he placed it onto the drywall and it fit perfectly into the hole he cut. we will use this plate for other projects as it is well designed and will work with other in wall installations. great product and delivery.

EASY TO INSTALL FOR THOSE DO IT YOURSELFER'S; HOWEVER, INSTRUCTIONS THAT COME IN THE BOX STATE TO TRACE THE INNER PART OF THE BRACKET ON THE WALL IN ORDER TO FIT THE BRACKET IN PLACE. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. I FOUND MYSELF CARVING ABOUT A QUARTER INCH MORE AROUND THE TRACING IN ORDER TO PROPERLY FIT THE BRACKET IN PLACE. IT WOULD BE NICE IF ARLINGTON COULD INCLUDE A PAPER TEMPLATE TO TRACE THAT IS MEASURED TO THE PRECISE SIZING NEEDED FOR A PERFECT FIT. IT WOULD'NT COST ARLINGTON MUCH. OTHER THAN THAT, GREAT PRODUCT.

Just as with the single mounting bracket, it was exactly what I needed! Used these when mounting TV's, electric fireplaces, and other items for which I run the wires / cords through the walls for a nice clean look. The screws draw up very nicely and holds it nice and secure to the wall. It usually takes me a minute to get the opening cut to size right because I like it to fit snug, but gravy other than that.

I ordered two (2) of these for my TV Wall Mount Project. They were excellent. It would be nice if they would include a pattern as you really can't trace the exact cutout onto the wall. You can roughly trace the inside and then cut outside the lines. Even at that I had to spend a bit of time getting them to fit perfect. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I took my time to ensure that the holes I cut weren't too big and would leave any gaps. Even w/o the templates though, this is a fantastic product and a huge help for any DIY job including drywall and adding outlets.
