Heats up fast, and I like that I can select the temperature which makes it a lot better than the glorified hair dryers other people sell on here.

I have used this extensively for SMD soldering as well as the occasional heat shrink work. It works beautifully.

Does its intended purpose and has no issues heating up. Also comes with a replacement element which is nice if it ever goes out

Don't have a lot negative to say... it works well. Construction is fairly good for the price point.. I think the only trouble I have is that I wish the resting spot for the wand didn't blow directly into the surface that you are working on.... Depending on what that surface is, you may get a nice surprise sitting the wand down for a moment :)

Bought this while trying to repair a car stereo. I tried to use a regular heat gun and it and the repair never seemed to hold. Once I used this and got the heat dialed on to the recommend temp set correctly the reworked electro is have worked ever since. Wish I would have just bought this the first go around. It’s simple to use and assemble and comes with extra parts for down the line. It also cools down very quickly which is an added bonus.

This thing is great. When you turn it on and pick it up it heats up very quickly. Then when you set it down it drops into a standby temp (100c), and after a few more minutes it shuts down completely. Pick it up again and it gets hot again fast.I’ve used it to rework a couple SMD PCBs, very happy with how I don’t have to think about if I’m going to use it again soon (or if I should turn it off) after each use.

Basic hot air rework station. A few square nozzles would have been nice but you can do most jobs with the round. Sleep function works well.

It didn't work for heating the solder on an Xbox series x motherboard on the HDMI port. I attempted to heat the soldering but it didn't get hot enough. I would recommend for it's English instructions and it's ease of use.

I was a little worried about buying this station having seen horror stories in other product reviews for low cost rework stations. But, being as I'm just a hobbyist just getting into these repairs, i didn't want to spend a lot until I knew it was something that i would stay interested in. so far this station has worked well, I've used it to replace a couple bad usb c connectors and some IC chips and its worked perfectly so far. the only con i have about it is that it doesn't have angled nozzles, the straight nozzle causes it to get in the way of my digital microscope when i'm working on small components. aside from that, given the cost it's worked for what i needed for my hobby level repairs.
