First, the heating time is incredibly fast. In under then seconds from switching the unit on, i can already melt solder. Second, you'll now have a safe place to put the iron in between activities. You don't have to worry about it falling from wherever you've perched it. And of course, you now have the ability to set the temperature, with a constant read out of the actual unit temperature in °F (red) and °C (blue) it comes with extra and varied tips, a nice pair of tweezers, a solder remover and a holder that can simultaneously hold two different diameter solder reels. It's lightweight and the low price shows in the casing but the operating pieces get the job done nicely and it's easy to set the temperature and use the iron. For DIY soldering this is as good as it can get. You get full kit, confortable to use, all things organized. Simple temperature set and temperature lock feature is great. Tried for simple soldering tasks and worked perfect ! Finally I have organized soldering station

Iron works and gets hot quickly. The stand is solid and the cord is flexible enough. The accessories are cheap gimmicks, but get the job done as a good starter kit.

This is a really good solder set. It had really good control like a stove. It was stable function really well. I wish it was a metal casing but it was plastic. The weight was okay. The soldering iron worked well and for its price I think it's really good. It had a lot of tips to try and the solder came with it so you don't have to wait for more to arrive

Been wanting to give a try to soldering more cables together, and for the low price this little device feels super-comfortable and nice to use! So far I've managed to stick together a broken cable for mini-fans set under a laptop, a small job done for a family member. Small jobs like those can more-than pay for the kit itself, and help you venture out towards bigger projects. Its function from my experience should be set for small-to low-intermediate projects, its easy enough to set up & get to using!

For the price, yes, you get a good device. Heats steady and fast. Got 6 different tips, the tin roll and the arm to place it for better use. You can lock the heating setting to avoid accidental lows or highs. It's a hard olastic case so it's lightweight for a ststion ut easy then to move and store if you dob't yet have a full hobbies cabin.

For around $40 it's worth it. Works great well made. You can set the temperature and has extra tips and cleaning materials inc.

This soldering iron does not work, when trying to melt solder on the tip there are no troubles, but the moment the tip of the iron touches anything that you are trying to solder to it cools down and the solder ends up not sticking to the surface. Bought it a little while back to complete a wiring project. No matter what I tried the solder would not stick to any surface except for the iron. I tried changing everything from temperature to the solder wire nothing worked. Until I suspected the iron itself to be the problem and tried using a friend’s iron which worked flawlessly. TLDR the thing is useless.

I have been using this primarily for soldering guitar electronics, and it's served me well - it provides everything you need to get going, accurate temperature readings, variety of tips, sponge and tip cleaner, "solder sucker", and tweezers. I've been having great success with it.After a few months of use I did have an issue where the tips were not being held securely - perhaps an issue with the sleeve, I'm not sure. But I contacted customer service and they were extremely helpful and fast acting - they sent me a new unit that was on my doorstep in a matter of days, and it functions perfectly. It was above and beyond what I was expecting and was really impressed that they would go to such lengths to ensure my satisfaction.The combination of good functioning unit, great value, and great customer service, make this an easy product to recommend.

This has exceeded my expectations, made soldering soooooo much easier, used to make custom speaker crossovers, fantastic results! The wet sponge tip cleaner along with the steel Brillo were great for keeping the soldering tip clean and ready, heats up super fast, the solder in the spool was convenient. Highly recommended!

Heats up fast. Very hot if needed. Convenient to clean and rest the tips. I dont use the sponge only the brass ball. The wet sponge cools the tip. And the original brass ball and tips are very low quality so I got a better quality brass ball and tips.

I have it for couple of years and it always was straggle to solder with it. Set temperature high enough but when i start soldering even couple of 22awg wires tip is cooling down so badly - can't finish. had to increase temperature with not to much help. Final resalts always burnt tips. Goes to garbage. You get what you paid for. Bought Hakko station - can't be anything better. Expensive yes, but excellent results every time for life.
