Material: It is made of high-quality alloy structural steel material 35CrMo, with a strength of 12.9 grade, excellent solidity and durability, and the surface has undergone strict anti-rust treatment. When installing the harmonic balancer, the tool will not break in the crank.

Compatibility: This LS Harmonic balancer is perfect for your Camaro, Corvette, Trans Am, GTO, G8, LS Truck, or LS powered street rod.
Simple installation: This tool is long enough, you only need to screw it into the crankshaft and use the nut to push the crankshaft pulley into place. This is necessary to replace the engine or upgrade the balancer (it will be more perfect when used with lubricating oil).
Note: The installation tool is not compatible with Gen 2 LT1 5.7 engine (1992-1997).

Tool worked amazing. No issues with the dampener installation. The bearing in the kit is cheap at best. But, for the price of the tool, it is definitely something you can deal with.

Works on an ls1/ls6 as should, but don't expect to get more than one use out of the bearings. It comes with two, but I've done two installs and both broke.Go out and buy 6 more washers so you can get a wrench on there without the main nut being inside of the balancer.Thread the tool as far into the crank as you can, then hold the end with a small wrench (13mm if I remember), and use a 24mm to push the balancer on. If you use a socket and turn the main nut, you will be turning the entire tool, forcing it further against inside of the crank.

The washer with the ball bearings is genius for the application! I did it with the impact slowly at first then zapped it in. Gonna come back apart to change out the oil pump but i am glad i own this tool made life easy

I bought it because it was cheaper than the $200 Matco one. The threads and nut are very good quality but, if you buy, also find a sealed bearing to pair with it. First time I used it all the ball bearings fell out and the whole thing broke. Other than the bearing it’s great.

Broke inside my crank while installing the pulley. I checked the force required after extracting it with a torque wrench and it broke while tightening at only 90lbsft. Avoid wasting all of your afternoon with this. Wrote a message to the seller and never heard back.
