Tips
- Before tapping confirm whether the diameter of the round hole is appropriate, and to take protective measures when working.
- When tapping, it is necessary to add water or coolant to cool down to prevent excessive temperature and reduce tap loss. If it encounters difficulty in rotation, the tapping should be suspended.
- Be sure to select the appropriate cutting oil for the complex tapping process and apply anti-rust oil for maintenance after use.

Used this to clean up some threads on a blind hole. Having the bottoming tap helped a lot and it got all the way to the bottom. Would but this brand again if I need it in a different size.

They look good for the cost although I haven’t tested them. I wanted them for future use on my 8750 Watt Predator Generator. My spark plug threads try to gauld when I removed it to find what type it was. This tap set should be correct if I ever need it.I ordered a sparkplug thread chaser kit that covered 4 different type of plugs and claimed to be correct, but it had the wrong thread pitch.At least the m14 tap had incorrect thread pitch for a 14mm spark plug. Pitch was 1.5 where a M14 spark plug thread is 1.25.

I used the taps to clean and cut fresh oversized threads on my outboard oil drain plug hole.It worked very well, did the job cleanly and was a good tool.
