I love the many different things you can do with a relay. A solid state relay is a whole other story! They can switch on/off many times per second if needed. I am using this with a PWM to control the speed on a 12 volt blower motor. This is working great. In input and output side are easily marked. Since this is NOT a mechanical relay, there are no contacts to wear out, no arcing (making a spark) when operating and no worries about the spring actuator getting weak…as it doesn’t have this. Remember, this is a solid state relay. No moving/mechanical parts.I’m very pleased with this and can easily recommend this for any 12 volt projects that need this type of relay. Remember to make sure you are ordering one that has the proper Amp capacity to match your project.MY PERSONAL COMMENTS:I am an approved Amazon Vine Member. We are provided the opportunity to order (free of charge) many items that are new to the market, or where a seller just wants some additional exposure for their product. We are NOT required to review every item in exchange for using it. I personally only order products that are important to me (and/or my wife), items I can use or items that I have the ability to properly test (I have lots of test equipment). So, from that use/testing I can provide an honest evaluation & review (and not always a 4 or 5 star) based upon my use and testing of the product. Thanks…and feel comfortable with any information I provide in a review.

We built our own freeze dryer using the shell of an old upright refrigerator freezer. This is being used to control all the heating plates inside the freeze dryer. Because of the current capacity it is attached to a heat sink to keep it running cool. Because it's actuation voltage is so low, I'll be able to control it with an Arduino's output directly, without having to have an additional relay. The heating plates will only pull 30 amps at 220, but since this is solid state, the temperature can be controlled much more accurately, as there aren't contacts being made and broken by an electromagnet.

This relay seems fine for general applications. My primary complaint is that it doesn't come with any kind of spec sheet. That's fine for personal projects but I wouldn't use an undocumented device for anything professional.

It looks like any other SSR, but has a higher amperage rating (60a) than most. It's a DC controlled unit with AC on the switching side. Will be using this in my burnout oven to control the stovetop heating unit. Be sure to match up your current type (AC/DC) and amperage rating for the switching side when choosing one for your application.

I always like to over specify components like this when I replace one that has failed or when I need one for a new project. I am currently trying to resurrect a pellet stove that has a custom made (translation - no longer available) timer board that could use a SSR as a part of a replacement board. Couple this SSR with an Arduino and the control possibilities are limitless, I am sure something will turn up.

I am using the SSR to control a 10 amp load when triggered by a 230 volt signal. The relay works as expected. What wasn't expected is the material the base heat sink is made of. It looks like a pot metal, certainly not copper. I mounted this onto a stainless steel 1/4" plate with heat conductive grease. The body of the relay gets surprisingly warm considering I am running 25% of its rated value.I would not trust this for much higher loads.

These work fine out of the box and I think they are probably as good of a quality as other brands, maybe not the best out there but have not run into any issues with them yet.

Really happy with this SSR. Triggers on 3v without issue. Only uses 0.1w to trigger which is about a third of a few other SSRs I tested against this. Have used it to trigger my remote for my sound system without issue. Have used it for several months without a single hiccup.
