I really didn't want to spend the extra cash on the brand name when there are so many other brands out there. However, I followed the instructions and purchased the recommended sanitizer and I'm very pleased. I can tell a difference in the taste of my ice.

I have a Manitowoc ice machine in my house. Finding this cleaner locally was close to impossible and would have been very expensive. I ordered this product at a great price and I feel more comfortable that I am using the OEM version of the cleaner. Very Happy!! Thanks

I purchased this to sanitize an ice maker that had been sitting unused and accumulating fungus for several months while waiting for warranty provider to come through with parts and repair. I could tell the thing was just getting gross in its limbo stage. After the unit ( an Ice-O-Matic GEMU909 nugget ice maker) was finally fixed, I ran it through a cycle with scale remover and then a cycle with this sanitizer. Everything cleaned up great. The moldy slime is completely eradicated. I did have to throw out the first batch of ice and rinse things as there was initially a bitter taste. But subsequent ice tastes great and I am confident that the machine is sanitary. My only complaint with this product is the labeling. The directions and precautions are printed on the clear bottle in very tiny print. I found it extraordinarily difficult to read and thought it was pretty important to do so. With the help of a very bright light and a magnifying glass I was able to manage, but with difficulty. And, while I do wear glasses, my corrected vision is pretty well within the normal range. I don't have old lady eyes just yet.

I use this along with the cleaner on our ice machine a few times a year to keep the machine running well and the ice tasting OK.
