There seemed to be mixed opinions regarding the Vortex Solo Monocular 8x36 fitting in this case. Mine fits wonderfully. The soft case that came with the monocular is fine, but I wanted an additional case for when I go hiking in rocky terrain and such. I believe this case will do the job for me!

i like the case. i don't like the fact that it distorts the eye shade a bit. it pushes it in to where it will poke you in the eye if you do not notice it.

This is a SEEMINGLY decent case. I have had a couple issues... I have a lens cover on the front of my Vortex but cannot recall if that is an after market accessory. If that flip-up cover is on the monocular, it will NOT fit into this case... but without that, it fits well. So, I am inclined to believe the cover I have is something I got afterward. I took stars off for the zipper - no reason for any company to not use a high quality zipper like YKK... it can't cost that much more to use a good zipper that doesn't jam, bind, and stick.

I bought this case for my Vortex Solo monocular. (The case it came with just wasn’t very good.) This fits the product & keeps it safe. I do not worry about it getting damaged in my range bag. The zipper is secure & stays shut when it should.It does not have a belt loop however. I don’t want to wear it on a belt, but if you do, this may not be right for you.That said, I am quite pleased with it.
