First, let me say that I've worked several years as a facilities/maintenance supervisor and project manager, so being "in the business" I know what it takes to do new construction, renovation, and repairs. As you may imagine, I'm both handy around the house AND I know when to draw the line between what I can easily do and what I contract out. So here's my story: Six twelve-inch tiles in the middle of my kitchen started coming up (I won't go into the poor work done by the previous tile setter). Luckily the previous owners left me some spare tiles in the garage, and my Dad had a notched trowel, and so I decided to do the job myself. $7 for the thin set, and $10 for a quart of grout make an easy and inexpensive job. Looking up online, one video mentioned a tile grout saw. I didn't want to go buy a Dremel tool for over $100 for such a small job, so found this M-D product on Amazon. WOW, did it really do the trick for an excellent price! It has a diamond blade that cut through the old grout with very little effort. You must be careful not to scratch any tiles that you want to keep (e.g. adjoining tiles, in my case). I simply allowed he diamond blade to cut a groove in the old grout and carefully sawed the grout away The total time to remove the six old tiles was maybe 15 minutes, and that includes using a flat pry bar to lift the old tiles off. Anyway, this tool is well made, comfortable to use, replacement blades are available for purchase, and is an excellent and economical and very functional alternative to reciprocating or Dremel type tools. This is one tool I'll definitely keep in my tool box for any floor or wall tile repairs. Highly recommended.

I used this tool in conbination with my dremel multi max to remove all of the grout in my bathroom. Works great for removing grout from the hard to reach places the machine can’t reach. The diamond blade is awesome - it removes grout with minimal effort and never seems to wear out. The saw blade is great for removing old caulk. Bathroom project turned out beautifully.

the black steel saw blade is useless, it's teeth wear off in about 5 swipes. The silver grout blade works pretty well but is way too narrow and doesn't last very long either. The tool itself is well made, just needs more durable blades.

I did my first tile project - a shower - and when I was ready to grout, I realized that I had not been as neat with the thin set as I should have been. Lesson learned. This product was very helpful at getting the thin set material out of the grout lines. It requires some elbow grease and my hand got sore from using it, but if you take your time and work in small sessions, you'll get it done. Some hot water sprayed on the area before trying to scrape it out helped a lot. Be aware that the "diamond style" blade WILL scratch glass tile very easily, I would recommend you don't use it. The "saw style" blade worked perfectly with no damage to my tiles.

Bought one of these grout saws back in January for a small project enjoyed the product so re-ordered two again only to find out that the manufacturer changed the quality to something that doesn't even work! now it doesn't cut or saw through grout, the saw/filing line became thinly/cheaply made I tried it for 10 mins to get through a single line with no luck!! I actually did slide it on my hand to see if will even scratch it and it did nothing!!! side to side comparison you can tell the changes, don't buy this product period and don't trust this vendor!! you can't go on changing your product to a much cheaper quality over the period of 5 month!!! will try to return it since this is not what I had in mind when I bought it again!

This worked great to remove 1/4" grout between 12" floor tiles. One blade set removed about ~15-20 tiles' worth before it was worn down to the bare metal, so I'd recommend having backup blades on hand. There is one blade that is flat edged with carbide bits, and one that is deeply serrated. You can use them together for thicker grout (like 1/4") or remove one for skinnier grout. It took about one minute per tile side to remove the grout.

Excellent materials and fits very well to the hand. It gets through grout and debris like nothing.

The tool itself is okay but the blade is garbage. Used it on two large tiles and not its completely dull. So expect to replace it almost immediately.

Worked well, sharp cutting edges, did what it was suppose to do.

Absolute junk, removed the screws to take off the fine cutting blade. Re-assembled with 1 cutting blade, broke off both screws half way into the bolt hole.
