I'm old school! I use a Shure SM58S (has ON/OFF switch) for all of my voice over work. This shock mount from LYRCRO works great and holds my mic firmly. The shock mount is very well made. The outer cage is metallic and so are the clips. The elastic band has just the right amount of strength to hold the entire thing together. I especially like the 3/8" and 5/8" adapter that allows this to mount to nearly any boom arm or mic stand. There is also some padded foam on the grip to prevent it from scratching my mic. My favorite feature is that I can still get to the ON/OFF switch.100% recommended!

This is a decent suspension mount for small diaphragm condenser mics. It works well with my Shure KSM 137s and Audio Technica AT875. I prefer a slightly more snug fit and simply added a strip of thin foam tape to the inside. It is relatively solid in build, especially for the price. It's all metal, and for $12, there's nothing much to complain about.Do not be confused by the picture of the male singer. That appears to be a common front address dynamic mic, like an SM58, and it would not be mounted like that (in the manner of a side address condenser). Apparently, the marketing people responsible for this have no idea how different mics work.

It works pretty well with my Shure SM57 but it's a little bit on the tight side (so anything thicker than a SM57 may not fit)The build quality is about a 3.5-4 out of 5, but for the price, you really can't beat it.It is sturdy enough that I am not worried about it falling apart, dropping my mic, etc.It can easily be adjusted and feels extremely solid. Upon first opening, everything was a bit tight but loosened up after a few tightening/loosening cycles.Overall, Id give it a 4/5 and I DO recommend.

Great item as it grabs my Earthworks DM-20 drum microphones perfectly. Isolating vibrations and avoiding the use of clamp-on-hoops style claws promotes a more truthful capture of drum sounds, not to mention the greater flexibility of mounting positions. Can't go wrong with these, great for the price.

I like the fact it is sized for my mic.

It's okay. Build quality is just okay and it works on the mics described. It's definitely not the best but for the price it's not too bad as a simple and cheap mount. Have mine holding a Behringer XM8500 for live streams and podcasts.

I bought this shock mount to use with a Coles 4038c mic. The clip part of this mount grasps the stand adapter/XLR part of the mic well, but the Coles weighs about 2.5 pounds. The shock mount pivot tends to gradually sag, not surprisingly. I think the shock mount is made well, very similarly to a shock mount like this I bought for a Gefell MT71s, but the Gefell is of only moderate weight. Anyway, I will keep the shock mount and use it with other mics or maybe for short stretches of time with the Coles.
