This tool worked great. Found a video to make the setup easy and it fit my Bosch router. There were a lot of little things in the setup that made cutting easy. I really like the add on template that came with the kit.

This kit is Awesome..!! Very easy to use and does a great job. Once you set up the Router in the Milescraft base you are set. The kit comes with everything you need and even comes with the router bit to cut a few circles. I would replace the bit with a better quality one before using it on your final project, but the one provided will work for practice on scraps. I used to use a 12 inch band saw with a jig I made for circles, but that was not very consistent. This kit is very consistent, especially the larger size circles. The only thing that I did not like is the set up for the small circles is just a screw in the end of the plastic. The problem with this is when you rotate the tool the screw loosens and your circle is not clean. The way to fix this is to make a few passes lowering the bit a little at a time and alternate clockwise and counter-clockwise with each pass. This worked for me anyway. The tool is pretty well made and I think will last for a long time. There are also other tools from Milescraft that you can use with the same base, so if you have an extra router you can just leave the base plate attached.FYI I used a 1/4" Dewalt cordless router and it lined up perfect with the screw hole on the mounting plate.

Thoughtfully designed. Good instructions. Complete kit, including router bit. Easy setup. Cuts a perfect circle or arc. I’ve used it on several projects, including this Shaker bench.

This is overall a great product. The issue is more with the setup/instructions and the accuracy for a complete circle.Basically, I would recommend watching a video over following the instructions. The video on their YouTube channel did a much better job walking me through the process than the instructions. For example, it wasn't clear that I needed to use my 1/4" collet adaptor for the centering pin. I get that the straight bit is 1/4" but when setting it up it was confusing. Also, the centering bit wobbled a little within the centering jig, which probably messed up the diameter function.Further, it wasn't clear if I needed to use my router base's screws to attach the jig or if I should use the included bolts (which wouldn't fit regardless). Finally, the inside/outside diameter stuff was confusing. Again, the video helped, but it wasn't entirely clear what I was supposed to be thinking of when making a hole. That could also just be me.However, once I had gotten through the setup, using it was relatively simple, and the circles it cut were overall pretty great. It uses a small wood screw to hold the center pivot down, which will wobble slightly giving radial variances. I did wish that screw was a bit beefier/longer, but since this is woodworking I'm okay with a bit of play.I used it for making an elevated dog bowl, and for that it worked great. The attached picture is right after cutting the two holes, with just a minor bit of sanding. I also appreciate that the straight bit is included. And like I said, once it's installed it's pretty easy to use. Overall you should get this.

This Milescraft circle guide made cutting this round table top out super easy. I used my palm router and took several 1/8” passes. The Milescraft circle guide worked flawlessly!

Almost did not buy this after reading several reviews by self-described career carpenters who complained about the accuracy. I also found that at first, my circles had some small errors. However, Later I found that when I went through the instructions (and followed them) the results were really good. Key is not to eyeball anything, Use the included bushing to exactly center the bit when you attach the base plate, and know which marks are which (they are labeled). In the end, very happy with the jig. Also, keep the instructions, because if you ever need to do a smaller circle, that jig is used in a slightly different way.

This bolted on flawlessly to my new Harbor Freight Hercules router. It takes a little thinking through, but once you understand how it works, it's pretty straight forward. My only critique is that the pivot screw isn't really long enough for some softer materials. I was using a melamine covered particle board and the screw just barely gained sufficient purchase to use the small circle guide. The large circle guide would have worked better with a longer screw, so you might want to lay in a supply of those. The other thing I'd like to see is a longer diameter arm. I sometimes build trim over arched windows and have rigged up guides for my router. This would be a much better design if I could get out into the 60 to 72 diameter range and i'm not sure why a longer arm wouldn't work just as fine. Overall, it's a very good tool.

As with every other Milescraft tool with which I have had experience, the circle guide for routers is a well designed, well made and easy to use for a reasonable price.

This tool does what it says it will do in a great way. It's easy to use and fast setup and to work with. The base plate is easy to install and provides a bushing and small tool to align it correctly to your router. At first, I didn't understand why it was needed but once you try to install the base plate that comes with it, you understand - if the bit and base plate are not centered correctly, the scale will be inaccurate. The base plate is universal and because of the way the holes are made (they're made to fit just about any router out there), they won't centre on your router like the factory base plate that comes with your router hence the tool to centre it correctly. Takes only a few minutes to setup. The router bit that comes with it is good and could possibly be replaced once it is no longer sharp. (I'm not sure if I would try to get it sharpened but we'll see later...)The drill bit to make the centre hole is also perfect for the provided pivot and the screw that comes with it. You don't get the feel that the hole is too big or too small, it fits perfectly. If you don't want the hole to show through, make sure you drill from underneath your piece of wood (ie: if your piece has a side you would prefer be on top for example) and stop before you punch through. All in all, a good tool at a great price. Highly recommend you get this to make perfect circles. I used to do them by hand and then sand them down but this is way better. The results are excellent and require little or no sanding.Very happy I got this.

I should have brought this years ago.Another great tool that is quality from Milescraft.Kit comes with a small & large circle jig that goes from 50mm hole/circle up to I think 1060mm hole/circle.Both are made well, work effortlessly, and easy to use, although watch the short video from the QR Code that shows how to put these together, as it will save time reading the instructions that are a little confusing. Also comes with a large clip on base for extra stability when edging or trimming.Price is good, quality is good, and it does what it says it does in an easy simple way that is stable without running off the beaten track and stuffing up a good piece of board.
