It would be nice to have a drill press but until then this tool works. It helped me make straight clean holes for some dowels. Easy to use and clever tool the way you can line up the various sides of boards for matching holes. It's a good value and well built.

This little piece takes the trial and error out of the work. The cut is quite accurate. I switched left and right panels of a tall dresser by mistake, but all the dowel holes still aligned well. It is a little difficult to keep the tool flat on the wood edge. I initially thought this could cause alignment issues. It turns out it doesn’t matter that much. Jointing with dowels actually is better done when the hole a bit bigger than the dowel. Slight movement of the tool actually helps.Do watch the 7-minute video here that explain the 3 types of joints. It explains all you need to know about this tool.The small details of the tool are lacking, as expected for cheap tools like this one. But so long it works for my purposes I don’t worry about it.

This works as it should. The depth setting (red plastic sliding thing on the bottom) is junk as it's hard to keep exactly parallel to the edge of the piece.Other than that this is a decent piece. You get what you pay for. The cost is low, so the quality is reasonable for the cost.Just don't trust the red sliding thing on the bottom.

Fue una excelente compra, me ha funcionado de maravilla, aunque eso sà y quizá sean buenos puntos a considerar.1. No contiene brocas y hay que conseguirlas por tu cuenta.2. No contiene tope para las brocas, solo el tope para la herramienta.3. En mismo Amazon venden un juego de 3 brocas, la de 10 mm no le queda en el agujero más grandeDe ahà en fuera una excelente compra y excelente calidad del producto
