Bought this mini parting tool set to use with my sl1000 unimat it fits and works good the quality could be a bit better but for the price it's an awesome deal would definitely buy

The blades work well out of the box on one end only. The thickness is tapered correctly but the cutting clearance on one end is going the wrong way. It was hard to get good pics that show the difference but the first two are the correct cutting clearance on one end and the last two pics show the other end with clearance ground the wrong way. That end likely won't cut and probably jam and break the blade. However, it doesn't need any work done if only the correctly ground end is used.Otherwise I've been using the tool with success.

If you have a "cheapie" harbor freight mini-lathe (7x10), then this tool is for you, especially if you're just starting out and practicing.

This tool is very small like 2 inch long and like 1/4 square. To give better idea about size is like door lock 🔑Is very fragile and for very small job work if you have care to no force itPrice is not bad but you get what you paid

The blade retracts it will cut soft wood but not even aluminum save your money and buy a small chop saw.

Turns out this is a nice little tool. Got it mounted up on the lathe and went to work. Time came for it to do it's job and I (note --i said i ) broke the blade. Took a couple more adjustments and another blade before i figured out what i was doing wrong. Can't blame the tool on this one. Have to blame the operator. Would buy it again though.
