This wall control works great ***AS LONG AS*** you match it with the correct fan meant to operate from it.We made the mistake and purchased the WC400 control for our MinkaAire Sleek fan. This proved to be the wrong unit as the fan and light acted erratic and never worked like the remote did. I initially thought the unit was bad until I really dug-in online with the details.Although the wall control units look identical, they **DO NOT** operate properly with all MinkaAire fans. I've now seen the WC300, WC400, WC500, WC600 and a WC1000 that all look identical with little to no explanation as to which units operate which fans.I scoured the manual, the fan itself, the website...just about everywhere and didn't find any answers as to how you identify which WC unit you need. The answer ended but being stupid-easy.If your fan came with a remote, simply look at the back of the remote. It will have an RC followed by numbers. Simply buy the WC unit that has the same numbers as the RC unit. For us, it ended up being 600. You can completely ignore the model number of your fan as it will only confuse you more (our fan is a Sleek 800 series).End of story, the wall control does work great without any issues, however I do want to say SHAME on MinkaAire for offering ZERO information in the manual or on their website on how to find the correct wall control unit for your fan. I'll still give the product itself 5 stars, but the information on finding the correct unit deserves 0 stars.

I really like having a wall switch for my fan/light. I hate having to use a remote for this. I ordered this switch because I had read in some reviews that it would work with the Minka Air Raptor ceiling fan/light. The DC fans are apparently very particular about which switches they work with. This switch wired as expected, pretty normal installation and works great. I threw away the remote (which worked, I just didn’t like it) and use the switch as I had used the old AC fan switch for my previous fan. I did have to change the code setting on this switch. We compared the code on the wall switch to the remote control code, then changed the wall switch to match. It worked perfectly with the matched code.

I installed a new Minka "Sleek" fan that replaced an old fan controlled by two toggle switches (3 way switches). I contacted Minka support and they told me I needed a second fan control switch to replace the 3 way switches. My problem was I didn't know which lines went where, so I had to do a continuity check to figure out the wiring. You can find videos that describe how to do a continuity check with a multimeter and some extra wire.I found the customer support people at Minka to be knowledgeable and very helpful. If you're having trouble figuring out which wire has the "power" to the fan you need to either do a continuity check or hire an electrician. We leave both wall switches ON all the time - just wish the buttons for the light would be illuminated rather than the on/off switch.

Installed wall control and it works fine. However the remote that came with the fan no longer works. I cannot find any instructions on how to program them so that both the wall control and handheld control work with the ceiling fan and light.

We have an Artemis XL5 and love it except unlike all our other fans, there's only a remote and no wall control unit. Well with this, you set the dip switches the same way the remote is configured and wire it in and voila - you can turn off power to the fan or control it from the wall unit. It's like having another remote. Easy to install (just need ground, hot, neutral) - if you know how to install a light switch, you can install this. Love it when something just works.Minor quibbles/notes: Includes its own switch plates and different colored face plates (we panicked at first, but yes they have white, almond and black included). Also we had to use their screws to screw in the switch plate cover on the side this fan control switch was on as they were threaded differently.

This WC600 (Wall Controll = WC-600) was the perfect match for my recently acquired Minka Aire ceiling fan that came with its own remote, an RC600 (Remote Control = RC-600). The installation is easy, it was a direct replacement for the wall switch that provided the single power for both fan/light. All I had to do was match the dip switches on this with the fan's remote control (which were already matched to the receiver in the fan), and it just worked.Total time spent was well less than 20 mijutes, and if my wife hides/loses the remote again, I can still adjust the fan and dim the lights from this full function wall control.

I bought a new fan from my he habitat for humanity and it did not have a switch. This replaced the missing one perfect.
