The Rugged New AccuMASTER PRO 10” Digital Torpedo Level and Protractor
It’s perfect for plumbing, hvac and electrical contractors, welders, fabricators, installation techs or any construction tradesman working in tight places (attics, under houses) where lighting and moisture conditions may challenge ordinary levels.
FEATURE RICH! – Dual functionality of true (absolute) level AND relative angle finding using alternate zero references makes it a super versatile precision tool. Bright green LED display outshines common backlit LCD displays improving usability and automatically flips when used upside down. The built in HOLD function makes it easy to lock-in a reading before moving it, and an optional Audible tone alerts you to level and plumb readings. The strongly magnetized base lets you attach directly to any ferrous metal surface. It features quick user re-calibration and includes two AAA batteries offering 40 hours of continuous use battery life (2+ years for typical/most users).
MANY USES – it can be used to accurately measure level, tilts, angles, slopes and bevels on construction and repair sites, equipment installations, welding fabrication jobs, solar installations, automotive shops doing frame and alignment work or anywhere precision leveling and angle finding is needed.
RUGGEDLY DEPENDABLE – IP54 dust and water splash resistant. Its compact 10 x 2.25 x 1.1 inch aluminum I-beam frame is milled on both surfaces and has heavy rubber endcaps to protect against drops. Accuracy +/- 0.2 degrees at all angles. Reads out (4x90) in degrees, pitch IN/FT, mm/M, and percent slope. Large, clear bubble vials (level, plumb) for when digital isn’t needed. Comes with User’s Guide, protective case.

I was surprised at the quality of this level. It has a good, intuitive interface, it's easy to use, and the machining, fit, and finish appear to be quality.

This is every handy-person's dream: A level with* old-school bubble levels* digital display* magnetic base with a V-groove for pipes and other steel objects* a "hold" function to see the angle in hidden places (hold the level against the item, hit the HOLD button, then bring out the level to where it is visible and it saved the angle)* match angles; put the level on the "good" object, hit a button, and put the level on the other object you want to match, and then the level will let you know when it matches the original angle* an audible BEEP when PERFECTLY level or plumb (only complaint; see later)* change display from degrees, to pitch (IE roof pitch -- inches rise per foot (or metric)* nice storage case with a loop handleOnly issue is it is too accurate! It goes to 5/100 of a degree accuracy, so if you simply want to level pictures around the house and turn on the "level" beep, you'll be frustrated. It would be nice to have it adjustable to be accurate to 1 degree, 1/10 a degree, etc. The display does also show you visually which way you are off, but again, too sensitive to be useful for most tasks.

Unfortunately, this level kept coming up with an ERR message when I tilted it back(slightly) while checking for level on a horizontal surface. I returned the unit.
