We have a Lancer and had to prop the lever for the gas cap and pry it open with a screwdriver. After watching a Youtube video, I ordered this part and installed it in 1.5 seconds, and the gas cap release works like new! If you wonder "can I fix it?", yes you can!

The spring for the fuel filler door on the Evo X is not as long lived as the rest of the car. When it snaps you'll want a replacement. This is it. It's cheap, it's easy to install, and it works.
