Step 1: Assembling the Film Scanner
Follow the installation steps in the manual to assemble the scanner (it's exceptionally easy)

Step 2: Turn the LED light on
Insert 2 AA batteries (included), and turn on the LED power switch.

Step 3: Insert a slide or negative
Insert a slide or negative (compatible with 35 mm color & b&w negatives, and 35 mm slides).

Step 4: Download Free Pic-scanner app
Scan the QR code on the manual to download the free Pic-Scanner app, available for Android/Apple

Step 5: Place phone on the top to start scanning
Place the phone on top and adjust the camera position to ensure alignment with the negative or slide

I got this in order to go through some old slides I found stuck away in my parent's belongings after they passed. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and this thing worked perfectly. I'm very happy with it.

I read the instruction manual, used the app presets for editing the image and did not get the beautiful images/scans as advertised. You’re basically using your phone to take a picture of a lit up negative. 👎ðŸ»ðŸ‘ŽðŸ»ðŸ‘ŽðŸ»

It works oK for what it is. It just feels real ly cheaply made. It runs on 2 AA batteries which are included. It just feels like too much thin plastic. But it does illuminate the slides and film strips.

Worked out great. Got all of my slides. Done in just two days working off and on when I could great quality easy to use. I recommend this for anyone wanting to convert their slides.

This is a great little gizmo & great value for money. I bought it to use for sorting out my old (very old) slides before sending them for transfer to memory sticks/DVDs.I had to sell my projector years ago so had no other means of viewing - this solved the prob..Bright, good sized display for individual viewing.

Although the product did allow you to see the negative on your phone, it wasn't exactly clear, but for just being able to see what is on the negative it worked fine..for all those old neg's you found in your attic.

for the price does the job, but the battery compartment isn't easy, one side the battery needs to be jammed in as it doesn't fit well, gaps too small.
