This item works for our Border Collie who is a big barker at times. He also likes to jump at the TV when other animals come othe TV. He doesn't listen and he gets in a crazy zone. This stops him immediately. One press on the button, and he stops. We don't need to use it often. He is extremely smart, and he remembers. We have a Pomeranian also, but it doesn't work on him. I think it depends on the dog itself. You just need to get it and try it. I'm glad I did.

I just got it. Works great for the Neighbor's dog that barks constantly.

This product actually works as described. In fact, on a recent morning walk with my spayed dogs, a decidedly eager stray male dog approached, and when it was in range I used this device in the first two settings recommended: sound and then in ultrasonic mode, and the dog ran off. That's not its intended use, but an added benefit.
