This inexpensive tool worked perfectly. I have never used anything like this. I needed to cut down the sixe on a thivk landscaping stone. I bought two stones in case i broke up my first stone - my effort to make the cut, but I got it right on first try!

Take it slow, using a good-sized hammer, and it'll work. In other words, properly used, I had no problem splitting some cottage rock bricks for use filling in gaps in a circular fire pit.

Cold chisels are impervious to abuse and this one is no different. Very effective on even concrete, I’m going to give it to an incarcerated family member so he can break out of prison.Ten stars!!

Bought this to help take plaster off brick, about 1" thick plaster. Works great. Found that it was easier to hold the chisel perpendicular to the wall, with the blade vertical. A couple of hits w/ a 2.5lb hammer and a chunk just comes off, leaving basically clean brick. It did take a bit to get going but clearing a 10' long wall 8' tall took less than 3hrs I think. The red handle slipped a bit on the metal during use, reducing the amount the "nub" stuck out in the back, but it was still usable. The guard was also sufficient in protecting my hand from some good blows by a 2.5lb hammer. Some plaster was still stuck to the wall, and this was certainly not the best tool to use to get it off, I think the edge isn't sharp enough.

I bought it just to use to pry rocks apart and look for fossils and just use s needed. It's heavy and sensitive to do what I need it to do.

Tip broke off on the first use, first hit. Snapped off about 1 inch from top. Looks like bad metal. That said I needed it a ground a new tip so couldn't return and it has held up ok. Doesn't work as it should, might want to look at better unit.

Used with a rubber mallet to remove turf glue from balcony. A good workout and lots of patience but bit by bit it worked for me.

Like the hand guard. Great for teaching my daughter to use it. Great product, just a pity that the 4 pound hammer which I ordered with it was never packed.

Perfect, nice and sharp, and retains it's sharpness quite well. It has only seen light use, but it's still as sharp as new.

bought to remove gyproc that was installed without a spacer. tried to hammer out edges to avoid splitting in humid weather. i must admit it was hard to use but i have very small hands. but i guarantee its sturdy enough to take a lot more preassure than i could manage. i used a rubber mallet and was able to improve the problem somewhat.
