An exceptionally good value for the money, all the functionality but a tenth the price of premium brands. It installed and fit without issue, however since it is a universal product it might not look as sleek as something that was custom fitted. Very easy to use and I notice no loss of clarity at all.

The Monstrum caps are a rubber body which slips onto the end of the lens you are trying to shade with a spring loaded hinged cap. The thing to know is how to size it correctly. I had a 30mm diameter tube, and was trying to figure out if the cap I should use was the one starting at 30mm, or the one ending there. The correct answer is the one ending there. Yes, that makes the cap very snug when scooting it onto the scope, but it means it doesn't shift or start sliding off when uncapping it. In comparison, the larger size cap was sliding off continuously, and so it had to go back. Note, the flash hiders on the optic can be unscrewed to take them off. There's nothing to keep them attached or prevent them getting lost, or a replacement if you do, so think hard before doing this.

I was looking for an ARD for my Vortex Strike eagle 1-6 and this fits perfectly. The 26-30 is a little snug but that means it's not going anywhere. The rubber will stretch pretty good and I had to wiggle it on but it's on there and is lined up perfectly. Haven't had it long but so far it's just what I was looking for at a great price.

I have a 3-18 x 44mm Vortex, and a 6-24 x 50 Vortex. I mistakenly ordered (1) 37-43mm for my 44mm. Granted it's 1mm shy but, there was NO WAY this was going to fit over the bell of the 44mm scope. Reference the 3 pics for the difference in size. The other ARD was for my 50mm bell. I ordered the 48-54mm for that one. You would think this would fit it the 50 since it falls within the parameters. IT DID NOT. But It fits perfectly over my "44mm", but was too small to fit over the the 50mm I ordered it for. So we've learned that the ARD themselves do NOT fit Vortex scopes by themselves. Their too small to thread into the bell. But you can use the rubber sleeve they also thread into, and slide that over the bell of your scope. I strongly recommend ordering a size up if ordering for vortex scopes so that your rubber sleeve will fit over the bell. Like I said, I put the 48-54mm one over my "44mm" bell and it fits just like you'd want it to! Snug but not ready to bust! So I've ordered the 54-61mm for my "50mm" bell. So order an UP SIZE to fit over the bell on Vortex scopes!

Does not fit 20x50 scope. I purchased a Burris 6.5 20x50 scope and also ordered this 48x54mm lense flip cover which was suppose to be a guarantee that it would fit a 50mm scope. Obviously. The rubberized sleeve was suppose to fit snug around my scope. Now, either this is obviously misrepresented, they sent me the wrong one (which I broke because it is very fragile and the honey comb and a piece came out of the plastic ring), or they represented it based on their own measurements which is not the same measurements as every scope on the market but theirs. They could have just sent me the wrong one as well. If that's the case then someone wasn't paying attention whatsoever. Surprisingly, I went to the sporting goods store I usually buy all my firearm accessories, and they had one very similar thatbwouod fit the same size and it fit perfectly. It's much more expensive but at least I know it will fit and it's durable. Considering it's going on a high powered rifle I need something reliable. I hope everyone else has a better experience than I have.

The scope cap fit perfect. When you look thru the scope you don't realize that there is a honeycomb on the objective lens. I have not been able to test this out for glare reduction at the range yet, due to freezing temperatures.I am using it on my competition service rifle scope. I know the honeycomb is designed to reduce glare so your scope lens will not reflect the sunlight, but I am hoping it will reduce lens flare in the scope when on the shooting line.

It does what its meant to do. It's cheap and flimsy, but it'll protect your lense. The cap does not index when it's opened, so it flops around when shooting
