Driver’s side door. Had to unbolt the door latch to get enough grip to remove the old connector from the old switch. Use force to yank out the old switch.Installation is a blind operation done by feel. Push new switch up into latch rotated slightly counter clockwise from final position (as imagined looking up from below), then twist clockwise and it will click in place. Connector goes back on easily.Review is for Amazon, not the Ford design team. Ford, what were you thinking when you designed this system?

My truck started alarming for no reason about every 2 hours. I had no idea why and so I had to leave it off to keep from waking the neighbors at night. I did a little research and found out it was the door switch. I replaced it with this part and no more false alarms.

Mechanically fits perfect. Electrically wrong for Ford F150, 2007.

Was a pain in the rear, but I kept at it and was able to replace this in a 2011 F250 rear driver-side door without having to take the whole latch assembly out. Having lots of daylight, a phone to record the insides, and lots of patients will help you get it done. You’ll want to turn it counter clockwise towards the driver side of the car, keep giving it a little more force... it’ll unseat and pop out!To get the new one in, you’ll want to use a cellphone and record the interior of the door so you can then “feel” where the new sensor will need to go back into. Then turn it clockwise back into place.Lots of YouTube videos on this, but none of them were for my actual model truck and the rear driver side door. Hope this helps y’all!

Exellent replacement. I had a door jam sensor that was bad. I ordered this door jam sensor, installed it, and now there is no door ajar light, none of the lights stay in when I close the door, it works.

But as a switch, it's a total success. These things are apparently a high-frequency failure item on Fords. So much so that my buddy who owned a garage said that he used to keep 6 in stock. That being said, installing this SWITCH solved the problem where I would open the driver door and the car didn't turn on the dome lights or unlock the other doors.A piece of advice it you're going to change one of these switches: Once you get the screws out of the inner door panel, remove the bezel around the inner door handle before removing the inner panel.

Worked out great on my 2011 F-250 driver door. The computer finally knows the door is shut. Finally!

Worked for my 2009 f250 super duty Driver side super cab. Amazon said it wouldn't, the one they recommended didn't work. This has a gray and white body, passenger side is sw6033 and it's brown.
