I was long overdue to replace several of these. The need became more urgent when the last one standing on the bathroom shutter broke lol. I took the advice of others and kept my original plates and just replaced the brackets and magnets. Perfect fit. I used the existing screw holes. The magnets are strong. Should’ve done this long ago. Would definitely buy again and will likely have to as you know these things don’t last forever when they get dry and brittle from the sun.

Needed to replace about 50 of these on plantation shutters throughout the house.. the Sun in AZ dries out the plastic, making them brittle and susceptible to cracking/breaking.. they were the correct size, had the right diameter between the screw holes.. so far they seem to be functioning and working well.. They were easy to install, each magnet came with a strike plate and all of the necessary screws. quick and easy install.

These are perfect for shutter holddowns as that's what they're made for... But I kind of wish that somebody would make a metal version of these even if it's just the magnet part because that's all you ever really need to replace! A metal version would be much more durable but then again they're in the business of selling these plastic ones and with the sun and the heat and weather changes they only last probably at most about a year and then you're in the business of buying them over again. We have a lot of windows so I've spent a lot of money on these things. At the same time you really do need them so that your shutters stay nice and tight to the window. The magnet strength is fantastic, functionally they work great, they're just not as durable as I wish they were. But that's a plastic issue... At the same time it really would be nice if they sold a version that was only the magnet replacement again that would save them the extra metal part that goes on the shutter and all the screws that they send which I always just end up throwing in the drawer just in case I need something like that for some other unknown reason. I guess that's the reason we all end up with that messy drawer somewhere in our house!

Yes. I recommend this product. Fit perfectly and holds exactly like the original magnet installed by Next Day Blinds 14 years ago.

Not able to use these because they're smaller than I thought - a mis-measure on my part with screw holes too close together. But well made with decent grab.

Haven't actually used one of these yet --- they seem OK. Arrived with several of the plastic pages torn and parts/screws loose all over the box they were in. Hope this doesn't speak to poor quality and/or poor quality control....
