If you’ve never built a set of bicycle wheels from scratch, be warned that it requires more than a little skill and experience, and a lot of patience. That said, these aluminum hubs are a good place to start. Construction quality feels very good and without logos, I would have a hard time telling the difference between these and a much more expensive set of hubs.The anodized finish looks excellent, and the hub casting feels smooth and consistent throughout. The free hub spins easily and it’s somewhat quieter than I expected, although it does still produce a an audible click as do all free hubs and free wheels.Overall, I’m pretty impressed with the quality and performance, especially at this price point.

I've taken on a bit of a 'Franken-bike' project... converting an older Giant hardtail MTB with rim brakes over to disc brakes. The mounting points are already on the frame and fork, so the rest of the job is just sort of making everything all work together. Given that this is really an old and outdated bike, though, I really didn't want to spend a lot on the project.These hubs are an exact fit for my needs, with options to match the number of spoke holes in your rims. The black anodization is of a high quality, with enough thickness that the aluminum color doesn't show through like I've seen with some lower-quality overseas parts. The quick-release skewers operate smoothly and consistently.The freehub is smooth, and engages quickly and consistently... I was honestly pretty surprised at how it performed given the cost of the hubs.Overall, these were a great fit for my project, and with the wheels built, it's on to matching up the brake rotors and calipers.

I really like these bike hubs. I look forward to using them on some road bike wheels I am going to build later. I really like the red finish and the quality seems very good. I am glad they are made for disc brakes. I want to upgrade my bike to a disc setup. Good matching quick release skewers. Very good item.

The color of the hub is very nice, the price/performance ratio is very good, and the quick release lever is of good quality.
