Radius tools, and a multiple ruler. Great deal.

This tool works very well and is precise (as confirmed by my digital calipers). The string action ruler was easy to use and read. The radius gauges matched my fretboard perfectly (10" radius) and made it easy to set my string heights appropriately. Be careful with the corners of the string action ruler as they are sharp. That leads to a very good corner/edge to measure from, but it could cause damage or a cut if not handled carefully.

These are obvious crap. I am no luthier, but I play one in my bedroom. These did get the basic job of measuring done but let's not mix words - these are just junk stamped out of sheet metal. There is little to no accuracy here, don't expect much!Came across a Phantom acoustic on Facebook marketplace one day. Was really beat up, no strings, no pins, and even missing the nut! I bought all the parts on Amazon, just sticking to the best things I could get. This bone nut (had to shape it myself - a first for me!), new bridge and a set of D'Addario Silk and Steels. I didn't use the pins from this set though - found a set of Ebony ones instead.Wow - Phantom from back in the day - this thing sounds so rich and full - you wouldn't believe I bought it for $50. With early endorsements from Earl Slick of "Phantom, Rocker & Slick" this is a piece of music history. Thanks to Amazon for helping me out on this project!

This kit is awesome! At the price, I was doubtful, but this is legit. The action ruler took me a second but is my most preferred one I have used to date. Why? They use little white dots on the black surface for your measurements instead of just the black bar. This makes it far easier to actually tell exactly where the string height it, etc.The radius gauges feel solid and are in all of the standard sizes one would need.Extremely happy. Highly recommend.

Understring Radius GaugesI have basses with fretboard radii of 9.5", 10" and 12". In every case, the gauge that matched the instrument manufacturer's spec for fretboard radius was the closest to a perfect fit. Trying the 9.5" and 10" gauges on the 9.5" radius fretboard, for example, it was obvious the 9.5" gauge was the closest. None were exact but that could be because of my basses, not these gauges.String Action Gauge RulerNot very accurate. I measured several of the markings with digital calipers and some were short, some were right on, and some were long. The 3.5mm string height marking was actually 3.8mm, for example. It varies from scale to scale, and probably from ruler to ruler as well. There was plastic film on both sides of the ruler. After removing that I could see curved scratches on the face of the ruler, but they did not effect the markings. There was also a printing irregularity (ink splotch) on the back, but again not on any of the ruler markings so it doesn't affect functionality. The bridge saddle slot depth scale (inches) was printed too far from the edge, as was the 75mm scale on the back, making them both inaccurate from zero. For around ten bucks these should work for my personal use, but if I was making an instrument or charging someone to set up their instrument I would want something more precise like StewMac. Since I will be using these mostly as a first pass for string height, and then making minor adjustments to the action to suit my playing style, they should be okay. You get what you pay for.
