My plastic 4x4 auto locking hub vacuum lines crumbled and failed as they tend to do, so after some research I decided upon replacing them with steel. I bought this roll for that purpose. 10k miles later I am very happy with this product.It is very malleable (just a little stiffer than copper) and easy to cut and install. As far as longevity goes,, there is so far no visible rust. We'll see.In all, I'd say this line is excellent IN THE CONTEXT of how I used it. Your mileage may vary.

Used this kit to run new gas lines on my classic 1956 Chevy. Gas lines were very easily bent & could maneuver them around as needed, however I could only make single flares on my lines. I could not make double flares with this tool.

I had to do an ABS delete, and this kit worked just fine. I did have to buy specific fittings for the car i was working on.
