I love its overall construction. It is nicely made and has a sturdy zipper. The bag sort of rolls open rather like a bedroll making it easy to load. It also comes with several pouches for smaller parts as well as movable partitions to keep scope, tripod, etc from damaging each other. I got this bag for a Celestron Powerseeker and it fits beautifully. Straps hold things securely in place and the bag is not so big that things jostle around. When fully loaded it is rather heavy ( not the fault of the bag, of course ) but it is built sturdily enough to handle it. I personally keep the counter weight separate for easier handling. All things considered I am very satisfied with this purchase. A very good value for a reasonable price!

This carryall fits most refractor telescopes up to 100mm in size, with room for your accesories. It comes with padded, soft dividers to make up 4 compartments, plus 2 soft zippered bags for odds and ends. Padding is very adequate to protect equipment from bumps, but probably not drops - though that is not the intention. The stitching is very well done and strong. The outside is stylish but not gaudy, the material is strong and looks like it will last. The inside is very soft and no way it would scratch or mar telescope equipment. Zippers are strong and don't look cheap. The only thing I did mot care for was the clear plastic on the inside od the top, though I could see putting papers and charts in there so they wouldn't be affected by dew, just that I don't use it myself.

This is a fairly massive bag. A complete celestron 127 SLT OR a complete 127 Powerseeker will fit in this bag... only one telescope set up at a time, not both. The bag seems quite versatile and the partition inserts are highly customizable as to where they go.The bulky part... the front pockets make the bag bulky and bulge out a bit. There is plenty of room for gear, but keep in mind a decent telescope kit already weaigns 20+ pounds. So, adding to the pockets will only make the bag setup that much heavier. At any rate, I prefer a slimmer bag with out pockets that snag so I unstitched the side pockets using a seam ripper. It surprised me at how little the bag resisted at being taken apart, leading me to believe that perhaps it is not very robustly made. I am satisfied with how the bag turned out sans the front pockets. The floppy part... due to the lay flat feature when the bag is unzipped, the bag seems to lack some structure. When the top lid is fully opened the side zippers tend to work their way down. Once that happens the inner partitions start to un-velcro, then before you know it the bag has lost its shape. This not necessarily bad, just merely an observation. The padding is adequate and should protect the telescope kit during normal handling. The celestron branded bag that is equivalent to this one seems much more robust and has protected my 127SLT setup on several trips out to the mountains. Loading, unloading, carrying, dirt, grass, rocks, moving the gear about. The only real disadvantage the celestron bag has is the single center zipper that can make access to the bag tricky with the larger items. The unihamal bag unzips all around the top so you have fully open access to the contents of the bag.If I had to get another bag, I would pick another celestron bag over this Unihimal since the celestron has taken the use I have subjected it to. I am not sure the Unihimal bag would be able to handle the same level of use. However, one cannot overlook the significant price difference. Once price in taken into consideration this Unihimal bag is an attractive option, especially if the kit is a lighter set up such as a Celstron 127 Powerseeker.

Minimal padding and very floppy.I had to tape together some cardboard to make non-floppy areas to store the telescope and tripod. After doing that I felt comfortable storing my telescope in it.

I was looking for a bag for a long skinny sample to travel with and found the perfect one! The fabric is high quality and the straps are durable, easy to carry and have a removeable clip-on shoulder strap. There are internal straps to hold the items in place and a convenient clear storage for smaller items in the lid. They thought of all the features in designing this one!

I actually use this bag not for a telescope but photographic lighting equipment and light stands and tripods. The bag is very sturdy and well padded with lots of versatility in terms of the configuration. Simple design is undistracting and it has the appearance of a much more expensive bag. The additional included padded zipper bags are a very nice touch and adds to the overall organization.

First, as a disclaimer, this is my first telescope that I felt needed some protection when I wanted to take it somewhere.PROS:1) The included Velcro straps and padded “panels” worked to kinda separate and hold everything so as to not unduly “crash” together.2) The included pouches are great for keeping together eyepieces, stare guides, notepads, pencil/pens, laser pointers.CONS:1)In actual practice you have to be very careful when carrying it because the weight of the separate pieces vary greatly. So it becomes awkward, like carrying a 5lb ball and a couple tennis shoes in a canvas bag.2)The canvas carry bag is akin to a lightweight medium duty duffle bag .3)Initially I found it awkward to put together to store the different pieces & parts of my Celestron AstroMaster 114 telescope.Overall, the bag is doable after I add some more by padding and firm up the bottom and sides to provide more structure.
