These are good for holding paperback books with small spines that are put on a music stand. If the book is rather thick, it is difficult to pull the page back far enough to fit. It it is too small, they don't stay

I'm very pleased with the way this product works. I wasn't using it correctly at first and thought the reviewers that said it didn't work were right, but fortunately, I figured it out, and it does work surprisingly well. I believe instructions should come with the product since it can be placed two ways and only one works correctly.
