Very nice contact cleaner. The brush works very nicely in 1/4 in audio jacks. Plenty of juice to clean multiple jacks, so this will last you a long while. Highly recommend this product, worth every penny.

I have several of Music Nomad’s products for guitar maintenance and setup and they all have worked well for me. Plus, they have many YouTube videos that show how to use them. I saw this kit about the same time I inherited some vintage guitar pedals, so I thought I would give it a try. This JackPot Contact Cleaner and Brush is actually part of Music Nomad’s Guitar Pedal Cleaning and Care Kit. Even though this kit is labeled as being for pedals, the JackPot cleaner and brush can be used on any ¼-inch jack on guitars, amps, etc. as well as pedals. Interestingly, this JackPot cleaner and brush are not sold separately at Music Nomad’s website; you can only get them there as part of the kit. For me, however, I already had enough of the tools in the kit but I did need the brush and cleaner, so it made sense to get just them from Amazon.I tried the brush and cleaner on a Boss GEB-7 Bass Equalizer that has been sitting in a box, unused for years. It is easy to use and the tube with the contact cleaner has a small opening so it is simple to get just a couple of drops on the brush. The brush handle was comfortable in my fingers. The brush bristles are pretty stiff and fit snugly in the jack, so it feels like it is actually doing some good. After using it in my Boss pedal’s jacks and trying it out with my bass, the sound seemed clean with no static or noise.Once concern I had was the possibility of a bass or guitar’s finish being damaged if some of the contact cleaner was dripped when cleaning the output jack on one of these instruments. I believe that the common poly finishes used in most contemporary instruments would be okay, but I wonder about nitrocellulose lacquers on vintage, or vintage reissue, instruments. There were no instructions of any kind included with this cleaner and brush, but I did check the Amazon listing and the Music Nomad site for information regarding this. However, there were no warnings or cautions about getting the cleaner on the instrument finish so I would assume that this is not a problem. But, if I had a valuable instrument with a nitro finish, I would probably take precautions and not get any on the finish.

I like the small tube size (even if it's pricier than buying in bulk) and the small brush, because I can fit both of these in my "emergency kit" that I take to gigs or leave in the green room/storage when I'm playing in a pit band/orchestra.The brush seems to work well enough, and I do like their much-vaunted handle design. I cleaned a few jacks, no problem. They advertise it for pots but I don't know that the shape is super-helpful there, but that's what old toothbrushes are for, right?

I got this to clean out the jacks from some old analog gear I recently got a bargain on. Deoxit is good for that. But it is NOT good for cleaning pots or switches--only contact cleaner should be used for that, and Deoxit has additives that can do way more harm than good. If you have some scratchy pots, do some research and get something besides this for them.As far as cleaning the jacks, yes, this does the job and the little brush is brilliant!

I am familiar with MusicNomad products and they tend to be excellent products with good prices. This JackPot contact cleaner kit does the job very well. However, I rarely discuss the suggested value in my reviews but what disappoints me is the suggested value for such a tiny size cleaning brush (about 3.5") and a very small tube of contact solution. The small size does make it easy to keep in a small kit particularly if you travel often with your equipment, but for a hobbyist player like me, cleaning regularly is not a must - I don't see the value. With all said, the product works as advertised.

Music Nomad always makes great products. This contact cleaner is no exception! If you reuse electronics from guitar projects as much as I do, you will run into scratchy pots from time to time.Just a couple drops of the good stuff, and it usually knocks that rasp right out!Included bristle brush is a nice touch for cleaning off corroded contacts but not necessary at all!Every guitar play should have some contact cleaner around!

I am a big fan of MusicNomad tools for guitar and own a lot of them. They are typically expensive, but fit that niche perfectly of unique tools. This one is unique, but not expensive by MusicNomad standards. It's really nothing more than a small brush and some cleaning fluid. However, the design of the brush is perfect for cleaning the insides of guitar and amp jacks. The bristles are the perfect stiffness. The fluid works great to eliminate scratchiness caused by dirty electronics.
