I don't know why I didn't buy one of these years ago. Never had the right wrench or tried using needle nose plyers (didn't want to take the strings off) to tighten the nut on your machine head....this does the trick. Works like a champ. For me - it fits acoustics, electrics...all types....

If you have plastic knobs on your guitar this is an absolute must in order to not mar or scratch your guitars top surface to remove or replace your knobs. Just slide the double tongue end under the knobs base and pry up. I still use a soft cloth underneath even though this has a velvet contact area though. The ends also serve as a wrench to tighten your tuning ped nuts as well, super handy! Great little multi-function tool that can save you a lot of time and money preventing damage to your guitars surface finish. If you work on guitars or have a lot in your collection this tool is a true must have!

Despite a limited range of function, this is a useful (but not essential) tool for anyone working on guitars. It's a wrench, and many of its functions can be accomplished with other wrenches, if a bit less conveniently in some cases. Two issues.First, the microfiber pad must be installed by the purchaser. This really should be done at the factory; with a proper alignment tool, as would be required is a manufacturing production environment, this would be an easy task. As it is, however, you'll need to remove the paper backing from the adhesive on the pad, get the pad onto a level, stable surface (not easy with the pad sticking to your fingers, and carefully align the pad with the metal part of the tool - also not easy. My suggestion is to line up the hole on the metal with the the corresponding hole on the pad, and then verify that the "legs" of the pad are more or less aligned with their counterpart surfaces on the metal part. Then just roll all of this side to side and hope for the best; there's no way to fix an error if you're off a little bit, and the end result is unlikely to be perfect regardless. The second issue is price - this tool way overpriced for what it does, so you may want to think if you really need it. Again, despite my two issues, it works as advertised. But, especially at the price, final assembly shouldn't be required.

This works perfectly for pulling tone/volume knobs off guitars, and the soft underside protects the finish. It's very easy to use, and will keep your knob in one piece and your guitar finish intact.

Have you ever done something and thought “there’s probably a tool for this “ here it is. So as usual I bought it. There was a cheaper option but the teeth didn’t look like they were very well made, so I went with this one . Quality all the way. Worked like a charm! Don’t know if I’ll ever get to use it again but I have one now! Don’t regret it at all, this is one fine piece of tool! Do yourself a favor and get it, you’ll thank yourself later. Buy once cry once.

You're gonna need this if you ever make any mods to your guitar, or even just work on it. There are other tools that do everything this does, but this does them without scratching your guitar. Get underneath the knobs to take them off, tighten and loosen nuts of various size. All with a nice thick padding.

Is the price high for essentially a piece of metal? Well possibly BUT this this tool is SO useful - in that sense its worth every pennyIt gets to all the awkward places without a single scratch on your pride and joy :)I seriously could not be without this tool - if you have an electric guitar, this is an essential purchase!
