Bought this to make kneepad inserts for tactical pants (EMS and duty). I was not sure what thickness was really needed. Ended up doubling up to get the knee on ground relief that I wanted. My custom cutting means the pads will not shift in the pad pocket like "store bought" knee pads. Much cheaper this way.

I was looking for material which would eliminate stress points on my 36" reef tank sump. I was able to cut to size and place my sump upon it. Any irregularities in either the sump or the underlying foundation are negated, and I don't have to worry about any warping. Great cushioning, but thin enough to provide a firm foundation.

This was NOT 1/4" Thick x 17" Wide x 80" Long.It is not a hand cut issue as in the description if you find that qualifier and not a mm to in snafu either - this is 1/4" x 16.5" x 77". I appear as "machine" cut - certainly not by scissors or other hand cut method, free hand, straight edge with razor, etc. It looks, as I see it and in my experience to be set at these dimension which means I seriously doubt if order a second roll or 2-3 at a time would get, at the misleading product description suggest that I might get a roll, 81" or by this standard, 83" long by 20" wide - wouldn't that be nice.So, I see now, per the other reviews to be prepared to not get what you ordered or paid for. Moreover then, if how this is, return/replace for what? - identical?Also, this is not, as one said too, that stiff, dense neoprene matting, it is more of a soft sponge material and will not hold up surface abrasion - it would have to be covered by something else. For me, it looks like what door and window weather stripping with adhesive is cut from - I had just installed that last year and is identical.So, I am very much unable to recommend this to anyone unless want to order but get far less and not be what you thought is was that you needed - it can't be a padding for anything that I'd use it for, and not first be covered to protect it from being perforated and etc. - again, it is not the dense, stiff neoprene matting as I read it as described as.

I used this as a leveling mat for a 6 ft aquarium. Was perfect for the job. It was good quality for the price and was much more affordable then buying anywhere else.
