The lock delivered to me was not a CompX Stock Lock as advertized. It was a very poor quality replica that did not work. I had to go to a locksmith to purchase the genuine CompX Lock and it was the same price without the cost of shipping both ways.

I was not able to use this lock, because each of the three keys which came with the lock are virtually impossible to remove once inserted. I tried spraying WD-40 into the lock, but this did not help. I will have to purchase another lock to replace this one.If the keys would come out it would have been fine. The lock fit in the desired mailbox, and the wide selection of "cams" allowed me to find one that worked.

Easy to install and works on a variety of items not just mail boxes. Best one I have found, I replaced about 20-30 of these over the last 10 years. I like this model best of all.UPDATE: Ordered again from Next Day MRO and ran into the same thing other reviewers had mentioned. The lock was in an unmarked open bag, NOT the factory bag. All the parts seemed to be there but wasn't too happy as I use the factory package to keep track since the part # is on there. Also, it was already cut open so that just sucks.My original review was 5 star now it is 4 and I'll look to order somewhere else where I get a NEW UNOPENED product.

Purchasing a condo, I did not get the key to the mailbox. The mailman helped me take out the old lock. This product was just the perfect replacement for the lock.

currently have this lock in mailbox, and so far have went through a multitude of keys being broken. We do have an issue of key getting stuck in chamber regardless of WD40. we are down to the last key and went with another brand
