Worked perfectly. I was smelling a bit of gas in a wall oven and bought a room sensor to make sure I wasn't imagining it. The room sensor didn't go off in the room, but when I put it in the oven it did go off. My initial thought was something in the oven was leaking. I tried the soapy solution to look for bubbles, but it was pretty clear that whatever leak existed was small. I saw no bubbles.I tried to apply the solution to the valves and lines feeding the oven, but again no bubbles. So I bought this, and after calibrating, ran it over each pipe and connection feeding the oven. Turned out the shutoff valve itself was leaking. This thing was so sensitive that I was able to identify the exact part where the leak was originating from.I saved $1000 on a new oven or a gas repair professional. $30 in parts from Home Depot (new shutoff valve, Teflon tape, and pipe dope), and the problem is fixed. Worth every penny. And I guess technically 100,000x more.My only complaint (super minor) is the manual has a very weird picture of how to insert the batteries. In reality, both batteries go into the device positive ends first, negative ends stick towards the cap. The manual has a VERY strange picture of one battery going negative end first, followed by positive end first. That's just... crazy.

I had a feeling there was a small gas leak coming from my gas furnace. I was right. This thing was able to detect it quick, at exactly the spot it was leaking from. For the price, this thing is potentially a life saver. It's very easy to use and compact. Can't go wrong here folks!

This is one of those reviews I will make time to write. Safety is the reason.Very easy to use. Clear instructions. Likeable product. However, I tried it on a gas valve that I opened. Among the test efforts, I even had the sensor near my nose. You'd think the tool would simultaneously detect gas that was strong enough for you to smell. No.The tool worked best when it was being blasted directly from the opened valve. Backing it away, the levels dropped to zero very quickly. No ambient gas detection.Maybe I got a "bad one." Be that as it may, use some sense when testing it. You might agree that the purpose of this and similar tools is to detect gas in circumstances where your nose cannot.

Funziona. Se vai vicino alla perdita di gas lo segnala. Non è supersensibile ma forse è anche meglio in quanto per altri tipi (più costosi) anche il solo fumo di sigaretta fa scattare l'allarme. Per il prezzo che ha e come rivelatore di fughe gas è ok. Per il resto sia a casa che in campeggio chiudo sempre il gas la sera prima di andare a letto e lo consiglio a tutti.
