I like that this filter has the oil resistant coating on the front. These are easier to clean. It has a high percentage of light pass through as well. Anti scratch is welcome in heavy brush.

The UV fi liter is fine. It fit the lens fine. The product was well packaged. These Amazon appeals to rate products are getting ridiculous. The email requesting I rate this arrive 2 days before it did.

I’ve owned this particular UV filter in the past, I’ve never really been a big proponent of UV filters. Usually because I believe that the extra glass might take away from image quality. Your lens has been meticulously engineered to capture light. Anyway.. I don’t usually recommend UV filters unless you “walk aroundâ€a lot with your camera. Which is how I typically captures photos. I go outside and document life. The extra layer of glass is just for my peace of mind. I’m “protecting my glassâ€. I have low key OCD and obsess over keeping my lense glass clean and pristine lol. Anyway, I enjoy the slim and sleek design of this filter. The lens cap fits perfectly over it. Does it degrade image quality? It doesn’t seem to really except in one manner. When shooting directly into light. You’ll get the famous green light dot reflections in your photos. Think iPhone camera lens flares. Know what I mean? I don’t usually shoot directly into a light, but you might end up doing so when shooting indoors. You can always edit it out in post but it’s an annoying step. I don’t understand how a glass that claims to filter “UV haze†or whatever can create green ghost / light reflections. I thought it was just this filter that does it but so does a more expensive B+W filter I have on another lens.I guess it’s a sacrifice you’ll have to make to protect your expensive lenses. Something I’ll do while my lenses are relatively new. I think eventually I’ll remove it and just carry them bare

I bought this filter to protect a new lens for my Nikon. For years I used Tiffen and other well known filters but decided to try NEEWER because I have been impressed with the quality of their products for photography in the past couple of years. This filter is amazing. No fog on the lens despite being in below zero weather and on a beach there was not the oily residue I always deal with. Great make too. Nice construction. Keep going NEEWER!

This filter was purchased for a new lens and used to protect the front of the lens. After using it the results of the images turned out to be sharper than not using it. Also, it blocked out warmer frequencies giving a better white balance with skins tones. I would recommend to family and friends.
