The motor arrived in a flimsy cardboard box inside a bubble envelope. The motor's shaft had poked a hole completely through the box during shipping and I was concerned that the shaft was bent. It looked ok and the motor ran fine but the shaft was, indeed, bent. It was slight - about .002" TIR over 3/4" but it's enough to cause problems with the way this motor is to be used. That said, the return process was easy.UPDATE: replacement motor was still shipped in lightweight packaging but it arrived undamaged, spins true & works great! Add 2 stars!

This NEMA 23 motor is built well. I like the molded wiring protection, most others have individual wires for the phases, coming straight out of the motor. I can't wait to try it in my DIY telescope mount control.
