Neotech clarinet loop strap is the "barely there" Solution for clarinet and oboe players who enjoy the security of a strap without the bulky look of one. It features a 3mm thick neoprene pad that is just 1-inch wide for discreet comfort. The unique loop attachment fastens securely around the base of a thumb rest or through a strap Ring. It is compatible with most thumb rest covers too! The loop remains on the instrument when in storage, detaching from the strap with a secure Quick disconnect system. Firm pressure on both sides is required to release it so there are no worries of it coming apart unexpectedly. For musicians with multiple instruments, extra Neo mini QD loops are sold separately.

It’s adjustable, soft, and holds my clarinet for me when it gets too painful for me to hold. Love it!

Update:It has been 3 weeks since my first review and it's working better than okay for me, so I added a star. It does take a substantial amount of weight from my B flat clarinet which allows my practice to be healthier and longer. Plus with the bandana wrapped around the neck, it's much more comfortable and cute. Would I purchase again? Maybe 🤔Original Review:It's okay- not a bad product. Definitely room for improvement. I bought this for my B flat clarinet to help hold the weight being placed on my right thumb. After the first time using it I noticed how uncomfortable it is on my bare skin. I got a bad scratch on the back of my neck from using this strap. I would recommend wrapping something around the (very thinly) "padded" neck strap. I used a soft bandana and it works well for me. If you wear a collared shirt, you can also place it over the collar of the shirt for more comfort. A hoodie would work too, anything to protect the skin. I do not use the neotech neck strap to take the full weight of my clarinet. Instead it is used to help carry some of the weight. This may be why it does not slip for me. I did experiment with this strap. Please be careful. It is not meant to take the full weight of your instrument, even with the t-lock system, it will slip. Would I buy this particular neck strap again? Probably not. Am I going to return it? I'm not sure. Let's see if it lasts past my return window.

This has a 2 part system. One goes around the thumb rest and one is on the end of the neckband. Easy to unhook and hook back up.

I bought this for my beginner band child for her oboe. It is easy to use and helps her with the security of not dropping her oboe. I would definitely buy again

Using this neck strap with my clarinet, it definitely took the pressure off of my right thumb. However, it placed the clarinet at a different angle and put pressure on my top front teeth. I've had dental work done there and after a concert rehearsal, my teeth hurt a bit. I don't want to cause any other problems.Otherwise I would recommend this to fellow players.

My kid is double jointed and plays the clarinet, however, playing causes their joints to flare up painfully. Their band director recommended this neck strap, and it has been a lot of help. However, there are a few minor issues my kid noted: 1) The adjustment pieces will get loose after playing and thus they have to be readjusted frequently. 2) The neck pad can get itchy/annoying after a while. Even with these issues, my kid still would recommend it.

I have trouble with my right thumb holding the weight of my clarinet and this neck strap helps me so much. Not only has it helped my thumb, it has helped my overall posture. It’s easy to put on your thumb rest and it’s comfortable.

I am very happy with this purchase, as it allows me other option for my instrument & reduces the strain on my thumb (or hand - holding it all the time) (On a side note...I also purchased a "stand" for my clarinet - another thing I never knew existed - Thank you...)

Acheté pour enlever de la pression sur le pouce. Bien fait mais enlève peu de pression sur le pouce qui tient la clarinette
