Bought this to remove popcorn ceilings. It works great, but the claim that it collects most of the dust is false. It barely collects any. Three seconds of sanding will leave you in a cloud of dust.

I was pleasantly surprised with the build quality. I've only used it on drywall so far, but I see no reason that it wouldn't work fine for sanding hardwoods for a smaller room (it takes 9-inch hook and loop 10-hole sanding discs). The machine is deceptively heavy at 9.4 pounds without the additional arm or hoses/bag. I only had the walls of a stairwell to finish. I was certainly easier and way faster than hand sanding. I have a vacuum-attached mesh pole sander, which is pretty good, but this electric sander is still just way quicker and less effort. I was able to remove the detachable edge to go hit inside corners, which was a super nice feature, Without the detachable edge, it would reach about 1/2-inch away from inside corners.I used a shop vac with a ultra fine dust bag to collect the dust, rather than the included bag. This worked well.Overall, it's a fine sander. Would recommend.

I just finished remodeling a guest bathroom in my house and when I saw this, I knew it would be perfect to help me finish the drywall. Let me begin by saying that I’m not the greatest at finishing drywall. However, this tool has helped me immensely get the job done. It’s easy to operate and plenty powerful to sand in the drywall down. I love that it came with different accessories to help me accomplish the job. It’s easy to use and not too heavy for my arms. Five out of five stars this sander is great for a beginner like me.
